With beautiful weather comes days spent outside with the family and utilizing all the activities the Mile Square has to offer. And for most Hobokenites, we appreciate the cozy spots and spaces that many restaurants inhabit. But for moms and dads in town, it can be a little trickier to find a stroller-friendly spot. Our friends at Hoboken Families did a little research for our Hoboken parents about which restaurants are stroller-friendlyhere’s a preliminary list:

    Bareburger {515 Washington St.}  — For a Burger

Bareburger is a great place to bring the family. But if you’ve got picky eaters at home, don’t be scared off by the “burger” part. Aside from being stroller-friendly, Bareburger has a ton of options — including vegetarian items {like this killer veggie burger}. However, they are on the smaller side of our list though, so you may want to opt for a mid-day trip or during their off-peak hours. Sidenote: if you have a sweet tooth, say hello to their root beer float.

    Biggie’s Clam Bar {3642 Newark St.} — For Drinks + Seafood

Hoboken Families named it one of the best stroller friendly restaurants in Hoboken — and between the outdoor seating and expansive interior, it’s pretty obvious why: Biggie’s is very family friendly. The bar is spacious enough to make the whole crew feel comfortable, while other bar-goers still have lots of room to spread out and watch the games/chow down on some seafood and well prepped bar fare. Roll up, order the Chicken Caesar Salad {you won’t be disappointed}, and bring the kids.

GFG Bakery {221 River St.} — For Your Spanikopita Cravings

Here’s a spot to satisfy your sweet tooth — fitting your stroller in at Greek From Greece {GFG} Bakery will surely be a piece of cake… or piece of delectably flakey baklava. The staff is very nice and helpful so you’ll have no problem taking care of your stroller storage.

    Grimaldi’s {411 Washington St.} — For Brick-Oven Pizza {+ Gluten-Free Crust on Demand}

Truth: pizza is important to your kids. Grimaldi’s not only has delicious pies, but also ha {equally important} a place for your stroller. You can store it by your booth or they have a big room in the back that will comfortably fit your extra cargo.

Taphaus Hoboken {800 Jackson St.} — For ‘West of Willow’ Dwellers

Don’t be deceived — though not part of the main drag in Hoboken, Taphaus is another very stroller-friendly spot. Carriers of all sizes are welcome and their food selection is great for your entire crowd. Bonus: they also have an equally stroller friendly location in JC, right on the waterfront.

    Johnny Rockets {134 Washington St.} — For Kid-Friendly Food

Johnny Rockets in the epitome of kid-friendly {stroller included}. From their fun ambiance to their yummy bites {a child’s dream}, you’ll be sure to find a safe haven for your stroller in this atmosphere. Hoboken Families found that you can even roll it right up to the table.

Hoboken Families swears by Leo’s Grandevous as well. Full of Hoboken history and a family-friendly vibe, you’ll be sure to find this spot to be a sanctuary for you and your stroller{s}.

    Schnackenberg’s Luncheonette {1110 Washington St.} — For a MilkShake + Delicious Diner Eats

Burger, milkshakes, desserts — kiddo heaven. Schnackenberg’s Luncheonette is another place where you can enjoy those goodies while feeling letting go of some stress and extra baggage. You can park your stroller table-side if it’s not too packed, but if it’s crowded, they’re very willing to help you safely store it.

Pilsener Haus + Biergarten {1422 Grand St.} – For Brats, Pretzels, and Outdoor Space

A biergarten might to be the first place you’d think of to bring the little ones, but Pilsener Haus specifically calls out on their website that they are family friendly. With kids being welcomed from opening until 8PM, stroll{er} on by for some food to share and great outdoor patio space to enjoy.

Birch {92 River St.} – For Burgers and One-of-a-Kind Milkshakes

It’s totally a good idea to sugar those kids up, right? If you’re looking for a treat for your wee ones, definitely stop by Birch. Their dining space is definitely large enough to comfortably wheel on through. Aside from the most deeelicious milkshakes, they also serve up great burgers, gourmet sandwiches, and of course, brunch. They also have a Gelateria {and rosé sorbet for when you come back later without the youngins}.

Michele mostly writes about her two favorite things - people and food. Though she’s been a Jersey girl since her mother danced on a chair at a Bruce Springsteen concert while 8-months pregnant, Michele’s life is anything but basic. During the day, she's a payroll specialist for small + local businesses, but on the nights and weekends, she's trying new places to write about and stopping for snacks along the way {so it's a good thing she's a marathoner and soccer player}. Aside from adding to her already extensive collection of throw pillows, Michele enjoys a good beer, nachos, and chillin’ with her kitties, Bo and Samson.
