A stretch therapy chain with locations across the United States is planting roots in the Mile Square. Stretch Med will open soon 1108 Washington Street in the former Right Angle Picture Framing + Custom Mirrors space. Read on for what to know about Stretch Med’s arrival in Hoboken, New Jersey.

A member of The Hoboken Girl team spotted signage for Stretch Med last week in the 1108 Washington Street space, and its website confirms that a Hoboken location is in the works. The space was formerly home to Right Angle Picture Framing + Custom Mirrors.

The stretch therapy studio lists the forthcoming Washington Street location as “OPENING SOON!” on its list of locations. The Hoboken locale will join the upcoming Montclair and Holmdel spots as the first three to open in New Jersey.
Stretch Med is a 1-on-1 assisted stretching studio that aims to “eliminate pain, increase mobility, rejuvenate, and help you move well. Sessions target issues like chronic pain, muscle tightness, imbalances, and tension and includes a lineup of 36 different stretches to help you feel your best.
The team is made up of degreed exercise physiologists with over 40 years of experience who use use a combination of PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) and static stretching techniques. Each appointment, which is usually held one to four times a week, involves a 50-minute 1-on-1 stretching session depending on the client’s needs — ending with percussion therapy to accelerate and enhance tissue repair by maximizing blood flow and muscle relaxation.
