Meet the Founders Shanece + Brenda
Shanece LaFaye Davis graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City in 2012 with a degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and a minor in Environmental Science. Shanece received a certification in Makeup Artistry and Esthetics from Parisian Beauty Academy Paul Mitchell Partner School. She is also certified as a women’s fitness specialist and nutritionist.
Shanece’s family has owned hair salons in New York City, Los Angeles, and Memphis, giving women a space to amplify their beauty both inside and out. Her experiences in the salon as a young girl have inspired the vision she has for the space at Fond + Faye.
“Rutherford reminds me of home in California. It has a big city vibe but it’s a small, very personable town,” Shanece commented. “Rutherford defines ‘community’ to me. It is warm + welcoming and Fond + Faye is so proud to be a part of this beautiful town.”
Brenda Fondeur was born in Jersey City and raised in Rutherford. After becoming a leader in the healthcare industry she earned a certification in Makeup Artistry and Esthetics from Parisian Beauty Academy Paul Mitchell Partner School. She has always had one mission in mind — to provide passionate and consistent service for her clients. Her attention to detail and expertise have made her a powerhouse in facial and body techniques.
