Between family, work, and staying afloat during a global pandemic life can be very stressful, but lucky for Hudson County, Salvation Wellness recently moved from their location on Christopher Colombus Drive in Jersey City to a new space at 30 Provost Street to help the community get relaxed and re-centered. Started by Ceallaigh Pender, LMT CDT MFDc, Salvation Wellness offers massages to relieve tension in the body, meditation to calm the mind, saunas for skin rejuvenation, and handcrafted skin and body care infused with CBD for an extra measure of peace. Keep reading to learn more about Salvation Wellness and the new client special they are currently offering.

New Client Offer: When you make an appointment for your first custom massage, be sure to ask for the new client discount. The 60-minute massage {$89} or 90-minute massage {$149} will help to relieve tension and stress that no doubt, most of us have accumulated over the past year.

Customized Treatments to Help the Community

When she first moved here, Ceallaigh wanted nothing more than to contribute to the local community. Both she and Salvation Wellness have grown with the city thanks to local support.

“Several of my clients believed in my dream of making a space where massage therapists thrived, even to the point of donating money {shout out to Yvonne and Abe},” Ceallaigh told Hoboken Girl.

Hobbs Inc

The Salvation Wellness team aims to bring better wellness to everything they are a part of, from their clients and staff to the community and natural world.

“We make sure that our staff feel empowered, valued, and can then bring that wellness to our guests. We also have a commitment to paying over a living wage to everyone on staff,” Ceallaigh said. “We make sure that things like our cleaning supplies are non-toxic and our energy comes from renewable sources. We have a Community Wellness Program where we focus on serving women’s health care to underserved populations. Our Community Wellness Ambassador has worked with Covenant House, and we are working with The York Street Project right now to bring services to their residents.”

A Team of Inspired + Educated Professionals

The therapists at Salvation Wellness are highly trained professionals, most of whom have been doing massage for over a decade. The management team, consisting of Ceallaigh, Andres, Kandice, and Maria, participates in in-house training with the entire staff to ensure each therapist is inspired, educated, and experienced in a variety of techniques including cupping, lymphatic drainage, detoxification, and trigger point therapy.

This regular team training sets them apart from other massage practices, which are sometimes managed by people who are not service providers, according to Ceallaigh. Her ability to motivate, educate, and inspire the team makes the environment at Salvation Wellness unique.

There is literally nothing better in this world than watching people transform their lives as they get out of pain. It is the most amazing feeling ever,” Ceallaigh told Hoboken Girl. “Getting feedback about how good they feel, how coming in and seeing us is the highlight of their day, and that we get to empower them makes this job very rewarding.”

Each service is customized to meet the needs of the individual, with the overarching goal of helping each client as much as possible.

“Seeing the changes we can create in people’s bodies and lives is profound for us,” Ceallaigh said. “When we interview potential candidates we always ask them why they want to work here, and everyone I hire answers with a story about how much they love helping people.”

Where to Start at Salvation Wellness

If you are new to the world of massage, a fan favorite at Salvation Wellness is the CBD massage. Salvation Wellness therapists use five different hand-crafted, vegan CBD products — each to target a different area or type of pain. After the custom-tailored massage, guests can choose either a chocolate or peanut butter CBD protein bar. Salvation Wellness truly offers the full package.

Massage

A hands-on energy balancing system that promotes relaxation and stress relief, the Reiki Massage, works to holistically heal the mind, body, and spirit. If you suffer from teeth grinding, clenching, or headaches, and neck pain, the TMJ Massage is a quick and effective treatment. The Lymphatic Drainage Massage will stimulate the flow of lymph, help your body detox and regenerate. This also helps with pain and encourages more restful sleep.

Meditation

In a mediation class, you will train your attention, increase your agility, learn to optimize your body and mind. These sessions are created using scientifically based techniques.

Sauna

Experience deep relaxation in the urban oasis at Salvation Wellness. Guests can relax from the daily stressors of city life in the infrared sauna by choosing either a private or couples sauna session. Consider combining this with a couples massage or private 60-minute massage for maximum relaxation.
