Quality Greens Kitchen Opens for Lunch THIS Friday and Saturday

For those saying Hoboken needs more healthy food options, you’re finally getting your wish. A new Mile Square startup concept called Quality Greens Kitchen is opening on Washington Street in Hoboken on Friday. The salad and ‘fast’ healthy food spot is located at 227 Washington Street and will offer a casual atmosphere according to their website, with “craft” salads, quality meats, and creative veggie dishes being the focus.

We stopped in and spoke with the owner, Steven Friedrich {also a Hoboken resident}, on Thursday who shared with the HG team that they’d be soft opening this weekend {Friday + Saturday} as staff is training, and then they’d be open sometime for good next week.

The restaurant boasts 2500 square feet of space {and free wifi – yay!}, and although the exterior appears to have a slight “chain” feel, Steven assured us that this is the first of its kind — a total startup concept — that he hopes to grow with a local following.

Among the ranks of the staff is Digg In’s executive chef Tristan Silverio and Saburi Simpkins, former GM of Sweet Greens in the city — so you know that the customer service and quality will be on-point. As far as menu options, there will be two main offerings: salads and a chef’s plate — where you’ll be able to pick two all-natural freshly-prepared proteins and then add cold or hot sides to them.

Vegans, get excited — there are plenty of option for you and those picks include soft serve FRUIT, which is 100% dairy-free {and consists of only fruit, water, organic cane sugar}. #NOMS

Hours of operation will be 11:00AM – 9:30PM daily, which is great for lunch hour if you work in the area or a quick little grab-n-go on your way home from the PATH.

Excited to have locally-owned, healthy options coming to town. Keep ’em coming!
