About Physique 57 Hoboken

Physique 57 is a barre studio with its headquarters in Manhattan. It was originally founded by former Wall Street professional Jennifer Vaughan Maanavi as well as wellness expert Tanya Becker. In 2006, the duo opened the first location at 24 W. 57th Street in NYC and has since grown into an international fitness + media company. Now, a Hoboken studio is on its way.

Physique 57 Hoboken is aiming to open at 104 Hudson Street sometime in January of 2023.

Lily Borak is the owner of the Hoboken franchise and chose to invest in Hoboken for a few reasons.

“I decided to invest in the franchise and open a new location in Hoboken because the town is a great market for Physique 57’s classes, with fitness- and wellness-minded residents galore and a lack of barre studios downtown,” Lily told Hoboken Girl. “Physique 57 Hoboken will fill the barre fitness void downtown.”

Physique 57 Hoboken will feature high-intensity, low-impact barre workshops that are “designed for any body,” according to Lily. The classes are aimed to leave participants feeling confident + strong, toning their body in the process.

As for the culture, Lily’s goal is to foster a positive + energetic vibe to help make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

“We provide an upbeat, energizing, and welcoming environment that makes the workout work for your appropriate level while continuously challenging you to the next level,” Lily explained. She also shared that there will be some opening specials available once the studio opens.

What’s more, the upcoming studio is currently hiring a local fitness instructor — which you can find on our jobs board.

In Hoboken, the only other barre fitness studio in the downtown area is The Drip Fitness, located at 44 Hudson Place Floor 4. Prime Cycle and Crunch Fitness are also both nearby.

Currently, Physique 57 has locations in New York City, Indiana, Philadelphia, Montvale, and even a few international spots in Asia.

We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know an exact opening date for this studio. In the meantime, for all the latest news and happenings, stay in the know with @thehobokengirl on Instagram and TikTok.
