The Background + Vibe
One Two Cup Cafe is owned by locals, Sayed and Nikita. The cafe opened in October of 2018, but you may have known it by another name, The Thinking Cup. It is now known as One Two Cup Cafe, but its delicious menu items and excellent customer service remain unchanged.

The cafe is small and cozy, with two small tables outside so guests can sit and enjoy their coffee or lunch alfresco. During non-COVID times, the cafe also offers a few indoor seating options as well. Masks are required when entering the cafe and there is a plexiglass shield at the ordering counter to ensure additional safety and cleanliness. Inside the cafe, there is a vintage record player to serenade customers as they complete their order. Locals who know the cafe describe the workers as friendly, menu items as affordable, and the cafe as a quaint gem, perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch.

Although the cafe may be small, the menu certainly is not. It covers your basic coffee, latte, and tea cravings, but also offers a variety of delicious, breakfast and lunch options, and even dinner entrees for takeout after 5:00PM. Many of the menu items are inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean such as the Hummy Wrap featuring hummus, onion, tomato, lettuce, and roasted red peppers. One Two Cup prides itself on offering the best coffee and the best prices on breakfast and lunch in the area.

For breakfast, owners Nick and Sayed recommend customers to try their delectable sunflower wrap or bagel, which is a crowd favorite. For $7, the Sunflower comes filled with two eggs, red peppers, scallion, cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, pesto, and ketchup. Customers can also make their own breakfast sandwich on a bagel, wrap, toast, or roll, with their choice of meat, cheese, and toppings. To keep the immune system strong, pair a breakfast sandwich with One Two Cup’s fresh squeezed OJ.

For lunch, the cafe offers a variety of sandwiches and wraps from which to choose. The pesto chicken sandwich or wrap is a staple. For $8.75 it comes filled with pesto, tomato, lettuce, and aioli. For curry lovers, the smoked curry sandwich is a must-try, filled with chicken, tomato, provolone, lettuce, onion, and curry.
For dinner, the rotisserie chicken dinner is available every Monday and Thursday and can be pre-ordered on the website or by texting 718-775-5948 for pickup after 5:00PM. On these days, the cafe is open until 7:30PM. For $15.99, The rotisserie chicken meal comes with rice pilaf and additional sides such as green beans, broccoli, and rotisserie potatoes for an additional $4.25 each.
