After months of being closed due to COVID-19 shutdowns, NYSC reopened several weeks ago — and now has just announced its downtown location in Hoboken at 59 Newark Street has closed. The company announced the closure this week to its members via email.

Over the last few months since shutdowns, members in Hoboken have expressed their concerns about membership fees and other issues regarding reopening in our Hoboken Girl Insiders Facebook group.

In one post, NYSC had announced to its members that it was going to unfreeze memberships and start charging fees again for Hoboken members on September 8th.

In other reports on Bloomberg, it’s said that NYSC’s corporate company is filing for bankruptcy. As of this time, it appears only the downtown location is closing in Hoboken, but we’ll update this with more info as we learn more.
