A New Business Idea
Owner Joseph Fasolo is no stranger to the entrepreneurial life. He started his career as a stockbroker on Wall Street in 2012 but found his long commutes and day-to-day work unfulfilling. After leaving Wall Street and joining local banks in the suburbs as a financial advisor and private client banker, friends and family pushed him to start a business, but he needed an idea. He started an Amazon business selling books as his first side hustle right before the pandemic, giving him a crash course on being a business owner. Over time, he started selling wholesale products from medical supplies to pool supplies, where he found success and ultimately found the courage to quit his full-time baking job and become an entrepreneur.

Joseph’s family story began in Italy before his parents decided to settle in America to raise a family. Growing up, he watched them work hard to care for him and his siblings, which instilled a strong work ethic. “Impavido” means fearless in Italian and was the driving force behind Fasolo’s entrepreneurial decisions to choose his professional happiness. When the time came and he had the idea to buy a Lotus Emira V6 and start an exotic rental car business, it seemed like the fitting name to describe the last four years of his life. This business has quickly become a fan favorite among his friends and neighbors.
“I’ve never seen so much excitement in my life,” Joseph said about starting Impavido Exotics compared to his other businesses. “Whenever I’ve told people about some of my other ventures, they just look at me like I’m crazy.”
The demand for this business was unexpected, but it has a strong market. Renters include pharmaceutical sales reps, real estate agents, production companies looking for cars to star in music videos or movies, prom nights, celebrity events, and local car enthusiasts looking for a birthday experience like no other.
“I haven’t even launched the website, and people are showing up at the building and calling my phone all the time,” Joseph told HG.
What started as an interest and passion for luxury vehicles became a long and winding road of figuring out insurance, scaling the business, and learning how to market to a luxury audience. Unlike his other ventures, he quickly found that marketing and brand building would be a large part of Impavido Exotics’ success. When Joseph met Hoboken resident and former model Paul Marron to help create content, they instantly hit it off over their shared interest in cars. Paul’s first order of business was a content shoot at a mansion.
“I had never met him before, and he drops off a Rolls Royce in front of me, and he’s like, ‘here’s the address, you just get there and we’ll be there a few hours after you!’” Paul said, laughing at the memory.
How it Works
Booking a car through Impavido Exotics is a two-step process on the newly launched website. Similar to renting a car on any other platform, customers make a profile, fill out their information, choose the dates of the rental, and then upload their driver’s license and car insurance information. To make renting seamless, there are two options for vehicle delivery and pickup. Joseph and the team give each customer a quick course before they take the car out on the road to teach each driver the ins and outs of operating the vehicle. When adding a new car to the fleet, the team goes through a test-driving process to ensure the vehicles aren’t too difficult for the average customer to drive, as some sports cars may look cool, but are meant for more experienced drivers who are familiar with driving on a race track.
A Dream Lineup
The team is building its fleet of cars for Impavido Exotics. Joseph currently owns the Lotus Emira 2024 and a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. His broker, Arion Nikezi, sources the other vehicles, which include a 2025 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 and a 2020 Lamborghini Urus. With seven vehicles total, Joseph is hopeful he’ll be able to add two more by the end of the year.

When reflecting on why he was inspired to start this business, Joseph said he knows the work ethic and hustle style culture that consumes most people in and outside of New York City. Impavido Exotics caters to the demographic of business people looking for adventure and an experience unlike any other. In an area where owning a car isn’t always the best option, he hopes he can help customers to express their hard work and experience the powerful feeling of driving one of these exotic cars at a fraction of the price.
“People work hard,” Joseph said. “They’re not just cars, they’re a direct reflection of their personalities and hard work.”
