A beloved local deli in Hoboken is up for sale — but don’t worry, it’s not going anywhere. The Hoboken Girl team was made aware on Monday, June 9th that Luca Brasi’s Italian Deli, located at 100 Park Avenue in Hoboken, is currently looking for new owners. A representative for the family-owned business shared that the owners are retiring and plan to spend more time with their family in Greece. Luca Brasi’s is well-known across the Mile Square for its Italian eats, and has been around since 2005. The Sale + What’s Next
Brandon Meyers, CPA, who is representing the Kostopoulos family in the sale of Luca Brasi’s, shared with The Hoboken Girl on Monday, June 9th that the Italian deli is currently looking for new owners. He explained that the decision to sell was driven by the family’s desire to retire and spend more time with their children and grandchildren. The family has strong roots in Greece, and now plans to spend the majority of their time abroad.

While the sale marks the end of an era for the Kostopoulos family, Luca Brasi’s will still remain in Hoboken — just in new hands. As they look for new owners, the family is “committed to finding a buyer who shares their values of treating customers like family, prioritizing quality, and maintaining the warmth and authenticity that Luca Brasi’s has become known for. They’re not just selling a business — they’re passing on a legacy.” The staff intends on staying with the business after the sale.

Luca Brasi’s Italian Deli has been family-owned and operated since 2005, and has become an Italian food staple within the Hoboken community during its 20-year tenure. Brandon shared that the deli was one of the first businesses that the Kostopoulos family owned after coming to America, and that they are very proud of what Luca Brasi’s has become over the years.
“It has become more than just a place to grab lunch — it’s become a part of Hoboken’s fabric,” he shared.
Upon walking into Luca Brasi’s customers are met with the classic Italian deli set-up that immediately makes you feel at home. Located at 100 Park Avenue on the corner of Park and 1st, the space is decorated with large photos adorning the walls, complete with plenty of framed scenes from The Godfather.
You can’t beat a classic Italian sandwich here, but the menu is full of other equally delicious options. Aside from hot and cold subs, the lineup includes breakfast items, hot + cold apps (think pasta salad, olives, roasted peppers, and foccacia), freshly-made mozzarella, salads, pasta platters, Italian dinners, soups, sides, desserts, coffee, and tea.
