Owner, book lover, and entrepreneur Sandra Dear opened up her book shop in July 2017. After having worked in the publishing industry for over 15 years, Sandra wanted to bring her own bookshop dream to fruition. Since Bayonne was missing an independent bookstore, she saw the perfect opportunity.

“Everywhere I went, I saw kids and adults connected to electronic devices. As someone from the publishing industry I knew I had to do something to keep print alive in my community, it was time to make reading fun again,” Sandra said.

The Little Boho Bookshop is not your average book shop, either. It’s got a cozy ambiance, which gives customers that perfect relaxing vibe to escape reality {when they can physically visit, of course}. The shop offers a range of genres of books focused on kids, pre-teens, and young adults. You can search for the entire inventory through its online store, which has 7 million titles to sort through.

Although the shop is closed now, you can still order these books in a safe and contact-free manner. The little Boho Shop website has a full list of which books are currently in stock. The books can be shipped to Hoboken + Jersey city within three days, and in Bayonne, the store is offering same-day shipping. The phone number listed on the shop’s website goes directly to Sandra herself.

Plus, in this time of crisis, Sandra wants to thank everyone for supporting their community’s small businesses. She applauds all the cafes that are open every day to support their customers and keep them safe.

Little Boho Book Shop is located in downtown  Bayonne in the main street of Broadway {164-A}, between 4th and 5th Street. You can reach the store at 201-258-4499.
