La Festa Italiana is making its return to Jersey City in August for its 120th year. This five-day-long beloved Italian-American festival will begin on August 9th and end on August 13th. The festival will begin at 5PM and end at 11PM. It will be a night filled with food, drinks, live band performances, and more. About La Festa Italiana
This Jersey City tradition will celebrate its 120th year this August. Hosted by Holy Rosary Church, La Festa Italiana is a celebration that honors Italian Heritage, food, and faith. Holy Rosary Church happened to be the very first Italian Church founded in the state of New Jersey. La Festa Italiana celebrates that sense of community and welcomes guests from far and wide to experience Italian culture up close.

La Festa Italiana will begin on Wednesday, August 9th, and end on Sunday, August 13th with a daily run time of 5PM to 11PM. It will be held in the area that surrounds Holy Rosary Church on 6th and Brunswick Streets. On the last day, guests are welcome to join in for the Feast Day Mass at 11:30AM followed by a street procession and live band performance of The Clarity Festival Band. After La Festa Italiana, the church will also host a celebration + mass on August 15th and August 16th.

On each of the five days, festival-goers can enjoy food made by local restaurants and food trucks. There will also be local pubs serving brews to sip on all while enjoying the live music performances occurring.

Besides its music lineup, among its food lineup, the Italian specialty, Zeppoles, are handmade by the parishioners and will be served to enjoy. Also, homemade rice balls topped with tomato gravy will be served as well. Among other entertainment, DJs will be playing tunes, and the Money Wheel will be back due to its high popularity.
