If there are times you think your appetite could rival that of a competitive eater, you’ll get to put that gift to use with another Hudson Restaurant Week which starts Monday, July 24th. Whether you dine out on the reg or you’re looking to try that five-star hot spot for a fraction of the cost, there’s a little something for everyone to nibble and nosh on from July 24 through August 4th. This time around, there are 40 plus restaurants participating throughout Hoboken, Jersey City, Weehawken, and Ft. Lee, so we figured we’d highlight some of our faves. Get ready, get set, and go check out these restaurants and dishes that caught our eyes {and appetites} this year.

Insider tip: Make those reservations ASAP because these prices only come twice a year. Oh, and because there’s an overwhelming amount of places to try, we categorized the restaurant list to make your decision a LOT easier.

Restaurants with a View

Liberty House

Located in Liberty State Park, Liberty House is THE place to go if you want an out-this-world view of the NYC skyline while wining and dining the night away. As one of New Jersey’s top-rated restaurants, there’s plenty to look forward to on their menu this year. From tuna tartar tacos to lager battered fish and chips, the menu is nothing short of outstanding.

If you’re in the mood for upscale Mediterranean and Greek seafood, you’ll be in paradise at Molos in Weehawken. With floor-to-ceiling windows and two stories, NYC views are abundant wherever you sit. During restaurant week, you’ll get to taste souvlaki, Greek salad, and baklava – just to name a few favorites.

Chart House

The Chart House has been serving up seafood delicacies for more than 50 years, so prepare to get one of the tastiest meals {and most breathtaking views of NYC} at this spot. Whether you’re in the mood for chicken Romano or coconut crunchy shrimp, all appetites will be pleased here.

New to Try

Porter Collins

An oyster bar, table side Caesar salad, and a bottomless brunch for $35 {additional $20 for bottomless mimosas} and you can count us in! This trendy and upscale American restaurant is perfect for date night, a special occasion, or just when you’re in the mood to treat yourself to a tasty cocktail. Check out our PC review to learn more.

Latham House

This Downtown Jersey City restaurant offers up All-American cuisine and drinks that will surely be a crowd favorite. Specialties include handmade herb gnocchi and chicken pot pie. A *must* visit — especially because they have an awesome outdoor area, perfect for people watching.

FM Jersey City

Take yourself back to the ’70s with this retro bar and restaurant, which features a menu boasting classic comfort food with a modern twist. From a kale salad to stroganoff and cheesecake, you’ll have a ton of fun and leave with a happy stomach at this disco playground-like restaurant.

Dance It Off

It’s the mullet of restaurants: fun and polished by day serving burgers and milkshakes, but at night, it’s a swanky place to party and dance the night away. You’ve probably heard of Birch’s INSANE milkshakes {including our very own HG version}, burgers, and fries, so if you want a classic meal with a decadent dessert ending to fill you up, you can’t go wrong here. Plus, mention ‘Hoboken Girl’ and get a free liquor spike to your milkshake. #yourewelcome

Hudson Ultra Bar

Bachelorette party, graduation, or a big birthday coming up? You’ll have the time of your life if you book a table at the Hudson’s most elegant nightclub. With VIP booths, insane decor, and a DJ area, you’re bound to have the best night ever.

Wine Pairings

Ruth Chris

We probably don’t have to do too much explaining here, but what you might not know is that this popular steakhouse has one of the best wine pairing deals around. A two-glass wine pairing goes for $18 per plate for lunch and dinner. Just imagine diving into a juicy NY strip or filet with your favorite vino that perfectly complements the meal. Major noms.

Bistro La Source

A more intimate atmosphere makes Bistro La Source the ultimate date night spot, especially with its wine pairings for just $15. And for vegetarians, you’ve got options upon options here too.

Oldies but Goodies

If you’re wanting a quaint environment that feels like your grandma’s home, Amanda’s delivers. You’ll feel prim and proper while dining, with a menu that includes options like Maryland crab soup, tagliolini pasta, and a lemon curd tart to finish.

Dino and Harry’s

Take a step back in time here, where vintage accents dating up to 150 years old will delight you just as much as the delectable food. You can look forward to specialities including filet mignon, homemade ravioli, and a Snoboken peach crisp.

Madison Bar + Grill

Bring the whole family, your co-workers, or a new date to the Madison for great food in a comfortable, yet sophisticated atmosphere. Enjoy crowd pleasers like wings and meatballs or a three-egg omelette and key lime pie.

Sweet Tooth

The Brass Rail

Nothing gets the crowd going like Nutella desserts, and for Hudson Restaurant Week, The Brass Rail is flaming up a twist on a French classic: Nutella Crème Brûlée.

You’ll feel peachy keen after you sink your teeth into the peach melba sundae at Halifax, where you’ll also get to enjoy coastal favorites sourced locally and made with sustainable ingredients. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here.
