For over 25 years, Hudson Pride Center has provided a special place for the LGBTQ+ community to be with one another, utilize resources, host events, and connect. The COVID-19 pandemic led Hudson Pride to go remote, but the organization has worked hard to make sure all of its members felt like they still had the Hudson Pride community in person. And in very exciting in-person event news, just this week, Hudson Pride Center announced its partnership with Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC, who will be providing funds to assist the Hudson Pride Center to open a new Jersey City location in Journal Square.

According to a press release from the Hudson Pride Center, on April 13th, it entered into a  partnership with Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC, an investment management company. Lord Abbett will be providing $700,000 in the next three years, assisting Hudson Pride Center’s Jersey City location in continuing to serve the LGBTQ+ community.

“We value all individuals as an organization that is committed to ensuring a sustainable future for our clients, our people, and our world. With this in mind, we’re proud to help fund the building of the new Hudson Pride Center, which aligns with the steps that earned us top marks in the Human Rights Campaign’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index, the national benchmarking survey, and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality,” Sieg stated.

Catherine Tantillo the Head of Community Relations at Lord Abbett spoke about the new HPC.

“The new Hudson Pride Center will provide the LGBTQ+ community with a safe haven, where they can receive assistance, support, and services. We hope our commitment will enable this important organization to flourish for years to come, and we look forward to building a long-term relationship,” said Tantillo.

Lord, Abbett & Co. and Hudson Pride Center will remain working together for the well-being of the LGBTQ+ community.
