The Urban Land Institute-Northern New Jersey {ULI-NNJ} has awarded 7 Seventy House the 2019 Excellence Award in recognition of the responsible development tactics + smart growth practices used to complete the upscale 424-home property.

The honor was presented to developer Bijou Properties and their partner Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation and Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects {MHS} on November 7th. The ULI-NNJ Excellence Awards salute high caliber projects + people within the real estate industry for outstanding and transformational land use, best practices, and creative visioning. 7 Seventy House was cited for “Sustainable Development.”

7 Seventy House is considered a “multi-faceted mix-use project”, that was developed alongside  a two-acre resiliency park which was donated by Bijou Properties and Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation. The park includes a children’s playground, a one-acre green space designed for recreation uses, a state-of-the-art 6,835 square-foot community gymnasium, and infrastructure to capture over 450,000 gallons of rainwater to help reduce flooding. A second phase of the park will open shortly and will include a one-acre public plaza with step seating and tilted lawn panel, play sculpture, and a large plaza to accommodate vendors + seasonal markets.
