Mile Square Early Learning Center has been serving the local community for more than four decades, providing high-quality education for Hoboken’s youngest scholars. You may already be familiar with the MSELC preschool program, which serves 3 and 4-year-olds but you might not know that there is a Preschool Transition Program too. Located at 301 Garden Street in Hoboken, this learning program is for children as young as 2 years old. Read on to find out more about the Preschool Transition Program at the Mile Square Early Learning Center.
All About The Preschool Transition Program
Mile Square Early Learning Center (MSELC) created a Preschool Transition Program for children ages 2 to 4 years old who do not meet the cut-off for PreK-3-4 enrollment. Children from Hoboken, Weehawken, Jersey City, or adjacent towns can attend the program at the Mile Square Rue Site, located at 301 Garden Street in Hoboken.
This program is designed for families who want to introduce their child to a preschool setting with a staff of skilled educators. The state-approved curriculum provides developmentally appropriate goals and objectives for young children through social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language instruction using a theme-based learning model.
The program operates Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 3:00PM and also has before and after school care starting at 7:30AM until 6:00PM. Additionally, the Preschool Transition Program has opportunities for three full days a week, with limited spaces available. And with competitive tuition rates, compared to other local early childhood programs in the area, this program is a great choice for your little one.
The Preschool Transition Program’s Approach to Learning
With its unique and complex structure, the Preschool Transition Program at Mile Square Early Learning Center provides many layers of support to help guide local families through their children’s overall development. The program is filled with opportunities to learn, play, and grow through a state-approved curriculum that is implemented by the certified and well-trained team of teachers and support staff.
Using the Creative Curriculum, which provides a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, goals, and objectives for young children in four main categories of interest: social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language using a theme-based learning model.
Children are also able to take part in before and after-school programs, extra-curricular activities, and have the option to attend school ten or twelve months out of the year.
