Update as of 11:20AM 8/18/22: PATH service has now resumed with some delays, per the PATH Train Twitter. NJT Rail will stop cross-honoring PATH tickets at 11:30AM.
Update as of 10:05AM 8/18/22: Witnesses have confirmed that the person who was hit had jumped onto the tracks.
A person was struck by the PATH Train in Hoboken on the morning of August 18th. Sources at the scene shared with The Hoboken Girl that a person fell onto the tracks and got hit by the oncoming train on the WTC side. Police and emergency medical services were notified immediately and arrived to help — it’s unclear at this time what injuries were inflicted or if this accident was fatal. PATH service in Hoboken has since been suspended.

“Officials aren’t saying what happened, but the station is being evacuated,” Jes, who was at the scene, told Hoboken Girl. Commuters were told to take the ferry into Manhattan for now.
The PATH Train account officially issued a Tweet at 9:04AM announcing that service was suspended due to an incident, but did not disclose what it was. It also said that NJT Rail would cross-honor PATH tickets for today.
