The season of love is coming our way here in Hoboken and Jersey City. As January ends and February begins, there are a variety of events happening this weekend. Whether it’s trying different dishes at some of Hudson County’s beloved restaurants or attending an open mic at one of the many restaurants + cafes in our area, there is an event for everyone this coming weekend. The Hoboken Girl’s 5th Annual Puppy Bowl Contest —NOMINATE YOUR PUP!
Our annual Puppy Bowl contest is back for 2025! Locals can submit their pet’s cutest photo via the form HERE or by emailing [email protected] until Friday, January 31st at 11:59PM. The nine finalists will be announced on Monday, February 3rd, and the winner will be announced on Sunday, February 9th.

American Legion | 308 2nd Street, Hoboken
The American Legion Post 107 and its charitable arm, the Veterans Center of Hoboken, are committed to supporting veterans in our community with a few of the main issues they face — homelessness, transition to civilian life, mental health, financial growth, and employment opportunities. It’s one of the oldest Posts in the state — opening in 1920, just after Congress chartered the organization in 1919. Donations of any size are exactly what Post 107 is asking of the community. The Hoboken Historical Museum is periodically in need of volunteers. To check if a need comes up + slots are available, check the sign-up form here. Volunteers are usually needed to set up information pamphlets, welcome registered guests, organize literature, + more. Learn more here.

Founded in 2005, the Jersey City Parks Coalition is a private, not-for-profit 501c3 organization that assists in the development and maintenance of Jersey City’s parks and public spaces.
