‘Tis the season to indulge in all things festive… and in Hoboken + Jersey City, that’s no exception. All across Hudson County and beyond there are slews of holiday-themed pop-ups, events, decor, and more. So with that being said, it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t round up 25 merry things for you to do this month to lead you up to December 25th. Day by day starting December 1st, indulge holiday-inspired cocktails, catch tree lightings, hit up our Hoboken Holiday Market, and so much more. Read on to discover 25 ways to be festive AF this year in our officially unofficial 25-day guide to Hoboken + Jersey City during the holidays. 

– December 1 – Enter our 12 Days of Holiday Giveaways, which starts today and runs through December 12th!

– December 2 –  Witness the Hoboken City Hall Tree Lighting or catch the tree lighting ceremony at the Newport Town Square in Jersey City.

– December 3 – Swing by Sorellina’s third annual Jingle and Mingle holiday party and view their beautiful holiday decor.

December 4 – Pick up a Christmas tree from one of the local lots.

– December 5 – “A Merry Little Christmas Carol” will be debuting at the Mile Square Theatre and running through December 29th. Get tickets here.

December 6 –  Pay a visit to the Washington General Store to pick up some seriously fun holiday-themed decor and view their window reveal.

– December 7 – Bring the whole family to enjoy some festive fun at the JC Families’ Annual Holiday Party.

– December 8 – Head to Cellar 335 to catch their holiday pop-up Sleighs N’ Leis and drink some holiday cocktails.

– December 9 –  Swing by the HDSID Holiday Market to pick up some fun + unique gifts for your friends and family.  

– December 10 –  Witness the HDSID Holiday Lighting Ceremony at the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Mall in Jersey City.

– December 11 – Drink a spiked hot chocolate at Carpe Diem.

– December 12 –  Head over to St. Ann’s Church for Jeremy Beck’s Wintertide annual benefit concert, followed by a post-reception for Family Promise of Hudson County.

– December 13 – Catch the opening night of Reid Farrington’s “A Christmas Carol” at Art House Productions in Jersey City.

– December 14 – Head over to Milk Sugar Love in JC Heights to try the new non-dairy ice cream flavor based on Busy Bee Organics’ s’mores hot chocolate {because every time of year is a good time of year for ice cream}.

– December 15 – Go ice skating at Newport Skates in Jersey City.

– December 16 – Challenge yourself to take as many festive holiday photos as possible in one evening.

– December 17 – Purchase your last-min gifts at the Hoboken Girl Holiday Market at Birch to shop and enjoy festive drinks, food, and decor. Get your entry tickets here – a portion of each ticket is donated to the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps and includes a free glass of Chandon.

– December 18 – Spend an evening walking the streets of the Mile Square and viewing the local shops’ festive decor.

– December 19 – Get into the festive spirit with the holiday decorations at Miracle on Mercer {which is popping up inside Franklin Social}. 

– December 20 – Pop into South House JC to view their decor and sip seasonal drinks.

– December 22 –  Peep the sweeping NYC views from the top of the Rooftop at Exchange Place while sipping spiked hot chocolate.

– December 23 – Head to the Chanukah Soirée at the W Hoboken for the first night of the Festival of Lights. Get tickets here.

– December 24 – Wait in line at Giorgio’s uptown for the cannolis — a Hoboken staple perfect for Christmas dessert.
