In cities like Hoboken + Jersey City, locally owned, small businesses are the cornerstone of our communities. From coffee shops and restaurants to indie bookstores and boutiques, these businesses color the streets with charm — but none of it would be possible without the imaginative and passionate business owners behind them.
That’s why The Hoboken Girl is partnering with YogaRenew to host a Business Owners Networking Night on August 9th, where Hudson County business owners can meet like-minded entrepreneurs and make some new friends. We’ve done this before, and it’s lots of fun!
The event will take place Wednesday, August 9th from 6PM – 8PM at YogaRenew’s downtown space at 12 Hudson Place in Hoboken, with all proceeds of registration going to Wise Animal Rescue.
Who is this for?
This event is for local business owners and entrepreneurs in Hudson County — with registered LLCs and S-Corps, brick-and-mortar or online — who want to enjoy a night of lite bites, wine, Alfalfa doughnuts, Cheese + Wine, and real in-person conversations. It’s a chance to network, meet, collaborate, and, dare we say it — commiserate — with other local business owners.
How does it work?
The cost to attend the Business Owners Networking Night is $20 per person — with all proceeds being donated to Wise Animal Rescue, a local animal rescue.Each business owner will receive a nametag to fill in with their name and business. From there, guests can make their rounds, putting faces to names and businesses.
There will also be BINGO cards for giveaways with a few amazing, locally-sourced prizes from Hudson County businesses, including Mission 50, FitFoundry, Exchange Physical Therapy Group, and YogaRenew — so some attendees will walk away with some new friends AND goodies.
The event is only two hours, from 6-8PM, so that you can meet people in a non-overwhelming fashion, and then head out to wherever your day/night takes you.

About Wise Animal Rescue
Wise Animal Rescue is a North Jersey-based animal rescue that has fosters and volunteers throughout the Tri-State area. WISE is dedicated to rescuing dogs of all ages and breeds from places where they are no longer wanted or are not being properly cared for. It also saves puppies from all over the country from commercial breeding puppy mills and brings them to safety in New Jersey, as well as other animals from local New Jersey shelters. By partnering with veterinary practices that support its work, they are able to save dogs’ lives and restore them back to health. Prior to adoption, all of the dogs are placed into responsible, loving foster homes to be socialized and trained rather than put in a shelter environment.
