In an effort to pay it forward + make this holiday season extra special, we are thrilled to announce this year’s annual The Hoboken Girl Gives Back Giveaway happening on Giving Tuesday. The Hoboken Girl is hosting an Instagram giveaway that highlights an array of local businesses we love plus two non-profits in the Hudson County area. Keep reading for everything you need to know about our HG Gives Back giveaway and how two lucky winners can win $500 for a local non-profit.
This year’s prizes will be split into two prize packs — one prize pack for each winner from the participating local businesses. In addition, this year, The Hoboken Girl founder Jennifer Tripucka will donate $500 to each winner’s local Hudson County non-profit of choice. This giveaway will take place on Giving Tuesday, November 28th through 11:59PM EST, Wednesday, November 29th. The two lucky winners and two non-profits will be announced via our The Hoboken Girl Instagram Stories on Thursday, November 30th.
After the success of last year’s giveaway, in which the winning reader chose local non-profit Liberty Humane Society, which received $1000 from The Hoboken Girl as well as Essex County Casa, the team felt inspired to keep the tradition going and continue to inspire building relationships between our readers and the greater community and non-profit world.
In the past, The Hoboken Girl has organized events connecting readers to non-profits in the community and donating proceeds to causes. Every event or function hosted both virtually or in-person has a charity component, totaling over $20,000 in donations over the last few years. Recently, HG partnered with Hamilton Pork to give away 125 turkey turkeys to local nonprofits in the area, and this past month we raised over 35,000 period/tampon supplies in collaboration with The Flow Initiative.
