2 Hoboken Farmers Markets to Return for the 2021 Season

Warm weather is here and two Hoboken Farmers’ Markets will be returning for all to enjoy. The City of Hoboken announced today that the Uptown Farmers Market Hoboken Farmers Market will be open for the season. Read on to learn more about the two farmers’ markets in Hoboken and what to expect.

The Uptown Farmers Market will be reopening this Saturday, May 1st and lasting into the fall season from 9AM-2PM on Saturdays under the 14th Street Viaduct between Grand and Adams Streets. Some of the vendors that will be in attendance are Stony Hill Farms, Cotton Cattle, Hoboken Farms, Roger’s Seafood, Picklicious, Choc-O-Pain, and Paolo’s Kitchen. To add to the fun, live music will be present on certain days.

The Hoboken Farmers Market will be back June 1st for its 23rd year on Tuesdays from 2PM-7:30PM. It will be located between Fourth and Fifth Garden Street on the east side of Church Square Park near the Demarest School. The Farmers Market is sponsored by the Quality of Life Coalition. Vendors that will be in attendance include Union Hill Farms, Roger’s Seafood, Melick’s Town Farm, Circle Brook Organic Farms, Pickle-Licious, Gourmet Dried Fruit and Nuts, and Hoboken Farms.

The markets will have a variety of options such as nutritious fruits, vegetables, and other local products.

Mayor Bhalla shared about the two farmers’ markets returning to Hoboken in a press release, stating, “The City of Hoboken is proud to bring back both farmer’s markets for another season. I thank Bijou Properties, the Quality of Life Coalition, all of the vendors, Director Jen Gonzalez, and Dave Calamoneri for once again providing access to fresh fruits and vegetables for our residents.”

The managing partner of Bijou Properties, Larry Bijou, discussed his excitement for a safe experience again this year for the farmer’s markets and thanked the community for its support. “We’re really proud of the success we had last season and being able to activate the neighborhood with this great space under the viaduct. We’re thankful to the community for the support and look forward to providing the same safe experience again this year,” he said.
