The team shared the following statement with the Hoboken Girl:
“The Leadership That Delivers team – Antonio Graña, Leslie Norwood, and Lizy Velez – is deeply honored that Hoboken voters have placed their trust in us to serve our community and the children of the Hoboken Public School District.
We are grateful that our message of transparency, community engagement, and excellence and equity for every child resonated so strongly. We will work as hard over the next three years as we did throughout this campaign to deliver on those commitments.
We also want to express our appreciation to every candidate who stepped forward to run in this election. Each demonstrated a genuine passion for education and a shared dedication to a better future for Hoboken’s students.
Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way. Your confidence inspires us to get to work.”
The Board of Education functions as the policy-making body for the school district, including adopting an annual budget, making changes in faculty, other changes to school district policy, and holding public meetings with opportunities for public comment.
