HDSID JC Fridays Return June 4th Alongside Groove on Grove

Summer 2021 has officially arrived and will thankfully be very different from Summer 2020. HDSID has been holding its Artist & Maker Market since May 1st on Wednesdays 3PM-9PM, Fridays 3PM-9PM, and Saturdays from 12PM-6PM. On June 4th, JC Fridays (Jersey City Fridays) will return alongside the Groove on Grove concert series. Read on to learn more about JC Fridays and Groove on Grove’s 2021 Season.

HDSID

For the kickoff on June 4th for JC Fridays and Groove on Grove, there will be several  performances by local musicians to watch. After 2020 being the year of virtual concerts, live music and in-person shows for Groove On Grove are something we can all be excited about! 

Club Pilates 2023

 JC Fridays is a quarterly, city-wide arts festival presented by Art House Productions, a non-profit that has been in Jersey City since September 2001, with a goal to bring the community together through art after 9/11. JC Fridays began in the summer of 2006 and is a seasonal arts festival in Jersey City that curates art events that take place in restaurants, galleries, stores, and event spaces in almost every neighborhood of the city. All events are free and open to the public.

Hobbs Inc

Groove on Grove will take place every Wednesday after Friday, June 4th, through September 1st, but will be starting Friday, June 4th from 3PM-9PM for the kickoff event. Groove on Grove will occur alongside the Artist and Maker Market. Groove on Grove is a free weekly music series that takes place during the summertime and features a wide variety of musicians, and performers. This is a family-friendly event that brings the community together to celebrate Jersey City and its diversity.

The Performances

Hang out with Dancing Tony, founder of (The) Rock-It Docket, he has used it to assist in organizing parties, rock concerts, sporting events and art openings in Jersey City for the past decade. See the following performances below at the kickoff on June 4th:

HDSID is a non-profit organization that works with local businesses, property owners, homeowner’ associations and governments to improve their neighborhoods.

HDSID has a Clean Team that sweeps the streets, and provides HDSID businesses with 50% discounted booth fees for the Farmers Market, All About Downtown Street Fair and the Holiday Market. In addition, HDSID holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies to welcome new businesses, which it schedules with City Hall and promotes through social media. 

HDSID also provides marketing assistance to local businesses through its social media channels and produces a weekly blog for business owners to promote special events, stories and sales, all at no cost.
