Fleet Week is an “opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today’s maritime services,” per a press release. The theme for this year is “Fleet Week New York…Celebrating Those Who Serve”.

The ships visiting the area include two U.S. Navy ships, three U.S. Coast Guard vessels, and four U.S. Naval Academy Yard Patrol boats (YPs). NATO allies from Germany will also join the celebration.
