New Jersey

14th Street Garden Center {793 Jersey Ave, Jersey City}

This Jersey City spot right near Home Depot/the Holland Tunnel is great for those with a car but don’t want to go too far. They’re open until 8:00PM Monday-Saturday and Sunday from 9:00AM-6:00PM.

Anne Ellen Christmas Tree Farm {114 Daum Road, Manalapan}

Family owned and operated, Anne Ellen’s strives to provide the best quality trees. Guests can take their time and enjoy browsing their wide selection. Beethoven’s Veranda {108 10th Street, Hoboken}

Beethoven’s Veranda is a flower shop, but they sell a variety of holiday accents including mini trees. They sell plants ranging from cacti to real Christmas trees to Poinsettias. All plants are locally grown, too! If you’re in need of decorations, they also decorate your tree upon request.

Bouquets and Baskets {548 Jersey Avenue, Jersey City}

Cal’s Christmas Trees {Corner of Monroe and Paterson, Hoboken}

Casola Farms {178 Highway 34 + Schanck Road, Holmdel}

Christmas is in the air at Casola Farms. All patrons will receive free hot chocolate to sip while browsing their tree selection. Children can bring their letters for Santa to drop in the mailbox that sends them to the North Pole. Holiday plants and other decorations are available for purchase for additional Christmas fun for everyone.

Conover’s Farm {3105 Hurley Pond Road, Wall Township}

Conover’s Farm has over 3,000 trees to choose from, so the tree of all visitors’ sugar-plummed dreams is bound to be here. Customers can reserve a tree with a two-part tag. Remove the bottom of the tag, place it on the tree, and bring the top section to an attendant who will then process the tree. Trees range from 4 feet tall {$48} to over 12 feet tall {$118} in various shapes, including traditional, fat, skinny, dense, and open. Almost whatever image you see in your mind’s eye — Conover’s has that tree.

Fairview Farm Christmas Trees {91 East Mill Road, Long Valley}

Fairview has four types of trees of all heights, and pesticide-free. Stop into the gift shop for holiday decorations, wreaths, and treats.

Hidden Pond Tree Farm {4 West Field Road, Mendham}

Visit Hidden Pond Tree Farm to cut your own Christmas tree up to 8 feet tall, or choose from a pre-cut tree up to 14 feet tall. In addition to finding the right tree, there are socially-distanced hayrides and a snack bar for families to enjoy safely. As the weather permits, Hidden Pond also lights a bonfire each night for a marshmallow roast, making this a complete experience full of magical memories.

Kevin’s Tree Lot {191 Grand Street, Jersey City}

The staff at Kevin’s Tree Lots is dedicated to making this year a safe and special season in light of the coronavirus. Customers can choose their tree on the lot or now consider contactless home delivery. All of Kevin’s staff will be wearing PPE and observe social distancing in the tree delivery process. Their Carolina Fraser Fir has a classic Christmas tree shape with strong branches and a silverish color. Their Pennsylvania Douglas Fir has soft needles and a fragrant scent. When January comes, schedule to have your tree recycled, and Kevin’s Tree Lot will come to take it away.

Picea Acres {50 S New Prospect Road, Jackson Township}

Every Christmas season, New Jersey families flock to Picea Acres. Things might be more spread out this year, but the anticipation for the holidays is possibly greater than usual. This farm is all about variety; they sell Norway Spruce, White Spruce, Douglas Fir, White Pine, and Serbian Spruce. Each tree has its own unique coloring and features, so you will be able to find a special treat to fit your space.

Shale Hills Farm {98 Pond School Road, Sussex}

Shale Hills allows you to cut down your own tree {if you want}. The tree options include pine, spruce, and fir trees. They also have a fun winter wonderland set-up with fun activities for kids.

St. Peter and St. Paul Lot {109 Grand Street in Paulus Hook, Jersey City}

St. Peter and St. Paul’s Lot in Jersey City is known to sell trees — a selection that consists of Fraser firs and Balsams — with several sizes {small, medium, and large}. If you’re interested in delivery, it’s an extra charge. Visit their website here.

Tyler’s Trees {Delivery Only}

You can find everything but the presents at Tyler’s Trees, making this a true one-stop-shop! All tree packages come with a tree stand included, which is required if you’d like to have the tree installed to make sure your tree is secure. They do deliver to Hoboken, so make sure someone is home to accept the delivery at the scheduled time, or you might face a $30 re-delivery fee.

Westhaven Farm {725 Route 524, Allentown}

Trees can be cut to take home beginning on Black Friday at Westhaven Farm. What a great Black Friday deal! This year’s trees include Blue Spruce, Douglas Fir, Norway Spruce. While you wait for your tree to be wrapped, take a look at their wreaths, selection of holiday kissing balls, grave blankets, and pillows. Free hot chocolate and cookies will be given out to each guest, and wagon rides will be available, weather permitting.

Wintergreen Christmas Tree Farm 14 Gorney Road, Lafayette}

Wintergreen Tree Farm is one of NJ’s largest Christmas tree farms. The trees here grow more than 15,000 trees on 60 acres, with firs and spruces that are up to eight feet tall. Visitors can borrow a saw and a wheeled tree cart to transport your tree.

Wyckoff’s Christmas Tree Farm {246 County Road 519, Belvidere}

This tree farm has six types of trees available including blue spruce, Canaan fir, Concolor fir, Douglas fir, Fraser fir, and Norway Spruce. The Christmas barn features Christmas decorations as well. The farm charges $10 per foot including tax.

New York

Anne’s Treeland {64-33 Woodhaven Boulevard, Queens}

‘Tis the season for Christmas Trees at Anne’s Treeland. They understand that choosing which tree stands in your home for the holiday season is a special decision. For that reason, they hand-pick their trees to ensure that customers have the best to pick from. Open from the weekend before Thanksgiving until Christmas; you can rest easy knowing you will find a class tree before Santa arrives at Anne’s Treeland.

Christmas Tree Brooklyn {184 Underhill Avenue, Brooklyn}

Trees from Christmas Tree Brooklyn range in size from 3 feet {$69} to 12 feet {$429} and are commonly Fraser Firs. No matter the size, each tree will have that quintessential perfect Christmas tree shape thanks to the upward angled branches, ideal for hanging ornaments. Other items available to order are a 25-foot garland, a tree skirt, and a star tree topper.

Foley Firs {724 8th Avenue, Brooklyn}

After selling a variety of trees for 10+ years and noticing that customers always gravitated towards the Fraser Firs, Foley Firs decided to specialize in selling the short-bristled Fraser Fir exclusively. In keeping with restrictions put into place because of COVID-19, Foley Firs have adjusted their delivery policy to no longer include in-home delivery and setup. All orders can be delivered and accepted by someone upon arrival, but the team will not be available to set the tree up in your home or building lobby. However, delivery is still free.

A bonus to doing business with Foley Firs? On top of providing memorable trees, they also raise money for Brooklyn Public Schools. Donations are tracked on their website throughout the holiday season so participants can watch each school’s progress.

Greenpoint Christmas Trees {814 Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn}

Known as NYC’s full-service Christmas tree company, they have been delivering to all 5 boroughs since 1990. Obviously, for interested parties who are residents of New Jersey, delivery isn’t an option, but the trees {starting at $99} and other items are still available for pickup. Uptown Christmas Trees {Various Locations in NYC}

The Trees at Uptown Christmas Trees are grown at Gopher Broke Farm in Vermont and brought into New York City for easy access. Charlie Brown Balsams sell for $10, a 7-8 foot premium Fraser Fir is $160 {trees are all priced individually}, and they specialize in narrow profile trees with an old, Victorian look.
