October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it serves as a timely reminder that early detection and yearly screenings are vital in the fight against breast cancer. All month long, businesses and organizations in the area are committed to doing their part by spreading awareness and commemorating the lives of those that have been lost to the disease. There is no shortage of events this year and ways to get involved including in-person walks, virtual races, pop-up shops, blood drives, fundraisers, and even getting buzzed on some pink drinks — all for a great cause. Read on to learn more about the local Breast Cancer Awareness events happening in the area.
