When talking about one of the greatest cocktail hits of all time, a classic cosmo definitely tops the list. The drink was a showstopper back in the day and continues to be a modern classic with its blush pink color and concoction of vodka, triple sec, Cointreau, and cranberry juice. All SATC fans can also relate to seeing the drink as a part of many social outings shot in NYC, where Carrie Bradshaw can be seen sipping the drink with her girlfriends, speaking of which, brings us to February and the month of Galentine’s. What seems like a cozy coffee spot instantly transforms into a colorful yet eclectic ambiance with vintage decor across the walls, an intimate bar section, and an open kitchen concept in the back room. Don’t sleep on the well-crafted cocktails, and especially a cosmo for this season made with vodka, amaro nonino, triple sec, cranberry juice and garnished with lime and lavender bitters.

Belo is kind of like that hole-in-a-wall kind of spot that you can’t stop going to once you’ve discovered it. The ambiance is great for a weeknight, especially the happy hour where discounted drinks are available including the Cosmopolitan pictured above. The team at Belo is known to spend weeks curating the cocktail menu, so you better believe that the cosmo comes with its own special touch.

Leave it up to Elysian to make everything taste delicious and look gorgeous. Located on the corner of 10th and Washington, this spot is known for its weekend brunches. This version of cosmo is made with Grey Goose vodka, fresh lime juice, and an orange peel as garnish.

Il Tavolo di Palmisano | 700 Clinton Street

Il Tavolo di Palmisano

While going to Italy may or may not be on the list – a dinner date to Il Tavolo definitely should be! There is both indoor seating and outdoor igloo seating, and the warm friendly staff will make diners feel welcome each time. The bartender, Amber, gets the credit for curating all the Insta-worthy drinks and the Cosmopolitan here is a great accompaniment to the delicious food.

Hobokenites have been falling in love with Sirenetta since it opened in 2020, opposite its sister property, Sorellina. The menu features an extensive raw bar selection along with an array of pasta. The cosmo shines next to the scrumptious food menu and can be enjoyed in the main restaurant or in Backstage Lounge, which is a speakeasy of sorts located at the rear end of the restaurant.

Stingray is where intimate, date-night vibes meet a variety of oysters and even better cocktails. The space is warm and modern, with the raw bar selection prominently displayed on ice, and lots of two-tops seating by the bar. The cosmo pictured above is made with Belvedere, Cointreau, Fresh lime, and cranberry juice.

Harry’s Daughter will transport guests to the Caribbean, with the gorgeous entrance decked out with the palm leaves wallpaper, hanging basket lights, swings in place of chairs, and the warm, welcoming vibes. The menu features some island staples like the jerk chicken, peri peri shrimp, and the must-try pumpkin rice, and you better believe Harry’s turns it up a notch with the cosmo.

One way to enjoy the outdoors while not freezing is the private, fully heated greenhouses at Kitchen Step. This spot is known in the area for the weekend brunch and its dinner menu, and we know cosmo pairs well with both. Mixologist Ray brings in a unique flavor to each drink so this cosmo pictured above is definitely worth the hype.
