Cherry blossoms are a sweet treat that livens up any block when they’re in bloom. While they signify spring, they are also said to represent a time of renewal and the fleeting nature of life. Walk around Hoboken and you will see them sporadically, but for a full cherry blossom experience, there are different parks that bloom with cherry blossoms. An iconic cherry blossom destination, Branch Brook Park is home to the Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival, which is happening through April 14th. The park is also home to the newly-opened Cherry Blossom Welcome Center with gallery and display cases highlighting the history of cherry blossoms in Newark.

Named after one of our Founding Fathers, Hamilton Park is a gem located in downtown Jersey City. A great place for a game of basketball or to sit and read a book, it’s a beloved space in the community. The cherry blossoms are the cherry(s) on top!

ICYMI — NJ has its own botanical garden, and it’s situated on a mountaintop with 96 acres of gardens, surrounded by thousands of acres of woodlands. NJBG frequently hosts tours of the gardens and the Manor House, which is a great way to get the most out of your experience. While you’re there, stop by the cherry blossom display.

With a playground, basketball courts, and gazebos, this Jersey City Heights park is yet another local spot where you can go to feast your eyes on cherry blossoms.

Verona Park is a 54.32-acre park with a lake originally formed in 1814. The park is used for boating, bathing, skating, picnics, and band concerts. This is a great location for water sports and cherry blossom photos.
