The deadline to vote in the upcoming election is October 14th, 2025. Residents can apply online to vote. Online applications are available in several languages, including English, Spanish, Korean, and Gujarati.
Some states have same-day voter registration on Election Day, but New Jersey is not one of them.
Three Ways to Vote
Vote By Mail: registered must apply to vote by mail through the Hudson County Clerk’s Office. Applications are available in English and in Spanish. Applications must be made by October 28th.
Early Voting: Any registered voter can vote in person at an early voting location. Locations for early voting will be announced closer to the early voting period — it may or may not be your regular polling place.
Election Day: Registered voters can vote in person at their local polling place from 6AM to 8PM on Election Day (November 4th, 2025).
Accommodations for Voters with Disabilities
All polls and voting machines are required to be accessible, per the ACLU of New Jersey. The State of New Jersey has a brochure for voters with disabilities to learn about their rights, and an online form to report concerns about accessibility at voting locations. The organization Disability Rights NJ hosts a hotline to report voting concerns.
