It’s time to enjoy the ultimate relaxation and self-care getaway in Hudson County — well, almost. Wellness on the Hudson is opening in the late Spring at 600 Harbor Boulevard, which is the retail space out front of Riva Pointe in Weehawken. The HG Team chatted with Owner Michelle Loretta and partner Kushal, who are residents of Riva Pointe and adore the location and complex. Opening a business here with relaxing views and calming vibes allows for an incredible location for everyone to enjoy. Read on to learn more about Wellness on the Hudson coming to Weehawken.

Some Background

Owner Michelle Loretta is a registered nurse and works at Mt. Sinai West in their recovery room (PACU) full-time. She also works per diem in Hoboken’s ER, and at the Hospital for Special Surgery (orthopedics) in NYC. She has a true passion for fitness and nursing, which is what inspired her to create her business on the idea of incorporating holistic practices as well as lifestyle changes. Her mission is to help you feel your best both physically and mentally.

What to Expect

All of Wellness on the Hudson’s services offered include benefits to both body and mind. The goal is for everyone who comes in to leave feeling 100x better than how they entered. The service options will include hot yoga and different types of yoga classes to choose from, including mommy and me classes — where you can bring your child with you to class.

You can also enjoy an invigorating Cold Plunge Plan for Two, which is amazing for energy, inflammation, immune system, mental health, anxiety, and depression. IV Therapy will also be available with all different types of IV infusions and vitamin shots to choose from, as well as a Sauna Plan for Two. There will also be more services added on in the future, such as meditation and pilates.

Emphasis on Recovery

Something that makes Wellness on the Hudson unique is the focus on recovery. Many people work out, but neglect recovery which is just as important as the workout itself. It’s important to let your body relax and unwind, especially if you’re on-the-go all the time (and to be fair, many of us in this area are). Michelle chose this location specifically because the view alone is purely therapeutic. You can see the water through the huge open windows, as well as the city skyline, and hear the water hitting the rocks. Imagine doing yoga with this view or relaxing in the recovery lounge with not a worry in the world but relaxing. Sign us up for that.
