Treehouse Coffee Shop understands the need for caffeine at all times of the day and has been serving JC residents delicious java at 434A West Side Avenue in Jersey City since 2019. We know it can be difficult to choose where to order coffee from with such a plethora of cafes in Hudson County, but Treehouse is truly a gem in Jersey City’s West Side. In fact, many downtown locals will make the trek just to enjoy its delicious coffee and cool vibe. Treehouse Coffee Shop is a true mom-and-pop. Owners Diana and Frank are local parents who love coffee and want to share good times with good people in Jersey City’s West Side and beyond. Diana and Frank had always day-dreamt about opening a coffee shop in the very spot they did on West Side Avenue in Jersey City.
“We felt that we were missing out on our family time and wanted to expand our friendship within our community, so the choice was easy,” Diana and Frank explained to HG in 2020. They used their individual skills and background and worked together to build Treehouse. Diana had experience in design and project management, while Frank was the GM of a restaurant group in Tribeca. “We decided that we’d like to spend our time close to home and family, thus Treehouse Coffee Shop was born!” It officially opened on September 4th, 2019.

The Menu

The coffee shop’s menu is stocked with everything customers need in order to kickstart their morning or afternoon. Menu items include sweet snacks and pastries, coffee, espresso drinks, matcha lattes, teas, and more. A menu item that comes highly recommended is the Vietnamese Redeye, which includes cold brew, chicory, vanilla, brown sugar, choice of milk, and espresso. In addition to its own delicious menu items, Treehouse also partners with local companies.

Treehouse Coffee Shop may be a hidden gem, but it stands out from its neighbors due to its bright green, pink, and blue painted storefront (seriously, it’s hard to miss). Locals describe Treehouse as “a little shop with big character” and “a perfect compliment to the neighborhood,” according to all of its five-star Google reviews. Diana and Frank provide a chill vibe and a friendly atmosphere for neighborhood locals and visitors alike to enjoy — customers truly feel a sense of community when they visit Treehouse.
