It’s officially farmers’ market season, and one of our local favorites, the Historic Downtown Farmers Market, is back in full swing starting April 28th. HDSID brings the freshest local produce, homemade goods, and sweet treats right to the Grove Street PATH Plaza. This year, there will be over 30 new and returning vendors every Monday and Thursday from 3PM to 7PM. Now in its 18th season, the market is a great excuse to get outside, stock up on some local goods, and connect with neighbors. Don’t forget to bring the kids — there’s face painting on the first Thursday of every month. Keep reading to learn more about the HDSID Farmers Market, returning to Jersey City for its 18th season at the Grove Street PATH Plaza.

About the HDSID
The Historic Downtown Special Improvement District (HDSID) is the heart and soul behind this twice-weekly farmers market. The HDSID team works with local businesses, property owners, and neighborhood associations in tandem with the City government to promote the area, improve services available to residents. The ultimate goal is to make Historic Downtown Jersey City a better place to live, work, and visit. This non-profit organization supports local businesses, helps the community grow and flourish, and even helps maintain its cleanliness.
“The most exciting part about our farmers market is that we’re always welcoming new vendors,” shared the HDSIS team. “The farms only bring foods that are in season, making each week and each month feel and taste fresh.”
This Farmers Market would not be possible without the season sponsors:
