As the COVID-19 pandemic spread through New Jersey in early 2020, countless local businesses had to close their doors. While some local establishments have now permanently closed, others were lucky enough to come back — and with new health precautions in tow. SoJo Spa Club in Edgewater reopened in August last year, after taking advantage of the time off to make improvements and necessary changes. The multi-level indoor-outdoor spa reimagines the traditional Korean bathhouse experience and features modern spa treatments from around the world. Keep reading to learn more about the exotically infused experience at SoJo Spa Club and the summer special it has to offer.

July Special: Throughout the month of July, customers can take advantage of the July Midweek Admission Special which takes $10 OFF admission Tuesday — Thursdays.

The diversity of the local community is reflected in SoJo Spa Club in the way it embraces spa cultures from across the globe.

SoJo Spa Club is our Korean-American business owner’s labor of love. The idea began around 2010 with a vision to create a new kind of Korean Bath House experience, transformed by the infusion of spa cultures and treatments from around the world,” Esther mentioned. “Ground up construction began in 2010 and doors opened in January 2017.”

The Spa Experience Reimagined

The complexity of SoJo Spa Club’s operations invites a number of experts from all kinds of different fields working together to create a one-of-a-kind experience for our guests.

SoJo Spa Club offers an unparalleled wellness experience bringing spa cultures and treatments from around the world under one roof. SoJo Spa Club transforms through the seasons which keeps the treatment menu fresh and exciting.

“SoJo Spa Club is a melting pot of cultures and people – whether it comes to the amenities and services we offer, to our staff backgrounds and experiences, and even our guests. This diversity is what is most celebrated and also what makes what we offer so special,” Esther told Hoboken Girl. “Creating a truly unique and enjoyable experience for all is a welcome challenge that we take head-on every day. We want our guests to have felt like they have experienced something special and new, every visit they have.”

The facility is open all year round, rain or shine. You can enjoy their heated outdoor baths and panoramic view of Manhattan even in the colder months, as they have heated tents and walkways throughout the facility to protect guests against the cold air. Your cold-weather getaway doesn’t have to be far — SoJo Spa Club is less than seven miles away from Hoboken and can be accessed via car or bus.

The majority of SoJo Spa guests opt for the daily admission pass which grants access to all shared amenities like the pools, baths, saunas, and bathhouse. With the day pass you can also choose to reserve a treatment as part of your spa day. The new online reservation system makes the check-in process a breeze.
