It’s that time of year again when red suits, white beards, and happy hour = Santacon. The experience that happens once a year comes highly debated by locals. Some love it, some hate it. Either way, here’s what we know about the 2021 holiday pub crawl. ‘Tis the season!

One might recall Santacon was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mayor Bhalla and former Police Chief Ferrante issued a joint statement explaining the cancellation. While the City of Hoboken has no jurisdiction over the private event, the event had been canceled by the founders in the end. Devoted Santacon-ers still dressed up and enjoyed a day of holiday happy hours, but the event itself wasn’t promoted by bars and the turnout was much less…chaotic.

However, Santa is in fact coming to town this year – con, that is. It’s been announced on the official Hoboken Santacon website that the 2021 crawl will be taking place on December 18th from 10aM-4PM. The event is already listed on Eventbrite for those who want to purchase their tickets early.

According to event organizers, included in the ticket will be a Santa Hat for the first 1000 people, a branded SantaCon wristband bypassing cover charges at all participating bars, a guided crawl digital map detailing the specials taking place in town, and professional photographers who will be capturing the best costumes and moments throughout the day.
