This week, locals spotted camera crews and production trucks lining parts of Hoboken as filming began for Here Comes the Flood, a new Netflix heist movie starring Robert Pattinson and Denzel Washington. A reader shared imagery of Robert Pattinson exiting a car on Hudson Street on Thursday evening, November 6th. As of Friday November 7th, Netflix crews were still present on-scene, including at the Elks lodge and all around Hudson Street.
According to Netflix’s Tudum and IMDb, Here Comes the Flood is described as an “unconventional heist film” centered around a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief caught in a game of cons and double-crosses. The movie is directed by Fernando Meirelles (City of God) and written by Simon Kinberg, known for his work on Mr. & Mrs. Smith and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
The star-studded cast also includes Daisy Edgar-Jones, Danai Gurira, Sean Harris, Moisés Arias, and Justin Kirk. Principal photography began earlier this month in New Jersey and New York City, with Hoboken listed among its filming locations, according to The Production List.
Our team has spotted crews as of Friday November 7th, along with readers’ tips via DM, sharing the updates of Robert Pattinson spottings. Several residents also took to Reddit to confirm sightings of filming near 809 Hudson Street and other uptown spots, though no official statement has been released by the city.
While Netflix has not announced a release date, the project is expected to stream in 2026.
