A celeb sighting isn’t a rare occurrence in Hoboken these days — from Blake Lively to Kim Kardashian to Vince Vaughn — there have been spottings aplenty. But for the It’s Always Sunny fans, today was a special day in the Mile Square. Rob McElhenney was in Hoboken, and had a bit of a day around town. Here’s a bit more about his Hoboken visit.
Rob is best known for his role as Ronald “Mac” McDonald on the show It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which he co–created with Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. He’s also known for playing Ian Grimm on Apple TV+’s comedy series Mythic Quest.
Rob was here for an appearance at The Ainsworth with the cast to promote their new whiskey brand, Four Walls Whiskey— for which @theainsworth posted on Instagram, “Don’t forget we’re hosting the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia cast TONIGHT.” This took place at 9:00PM on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
Before he showed up at The Ainsworth, Rob took a little Hoboken tour — stopping at none other than Shoprite in Hoboken to promote the new whiskey and snap a photo with the staff.
The Irish American whiskey brand is a collaboration from he and his co-creators Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day — which is a tribute to the Four Walls the gang calls home – the bar.
