Thanksgiving may look a little different this year in Hudson County than it usually does, but there is still plenty to be thankful for. Many are staying local this Thanksgiving, and to ease some of the stress that comes with choosing where to eat on Thanksgiving in Hudson County, we have created a guide to a variety of restaurants in Weehawken, North Bergen, and West New York that will open for Thanksgiving Day. These restaurants will be open and ready for you to enjoy a delicious meal with your family, while also following new safety protocols in New Jersey.
In an effort to curb the virus and avoid a second wave, Governor Phil Murphy announced new restrictions on businesses in a Coronavirus update on November 10th.
The new restrictions are as follows:
— Restaurants, bars, clubs, lounges, and other businesses that serve food or drinks will not be able to operate their indoor premises between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
— Outdoor dining can continue after 10:00 p.m., as can takeout and delivery services.
— Seating at the physical bar in the indoor areas of bars and restaurants will be prohibited during all operating hours.
— Restaurants will be allowed to have groups at tables indoors that are closer than six feet together if they are separated by barriers that comply with guidance from the Department of Health.
— Restaurants will be allowed to set up plastic domes outdoors, limited to one group each, as additional outdoor dining space.
“As cases of COVID-19 increase across the country and in our state, we must take all measures necessary to stop the spread,” said Governor Murphy. “We must come together as a state to once again beat back this deadly virus and to save lives.”
The new measures took effect on Thursday, November 12th, at 5AM.

Read on for a list of restaurants that will open on Thanksgiving Day in Northern Hudson County — including North Bergen, Weehawken, and West New York:
North Bergen
Cuomo & Sons {7709 Broadway}
This authentic Italian eatery will be open on Thanksgiving from 6AM-4PM. They will offer traditional Thanksgiving dishes, as well as their usual menu options.
Tapas De España {7909 Bergenline Avenue}
The popular Spanish restaurant will be open 12PM-4PM on Thanksgiving and will offer their usual menu options, as well as traditional Turkey.
Union City
El Artesano {4101 Bergenline Avenue}
This Cuban favorite will open 7AM-7PM for dine-in or takeout, and will offer their usual Thanksgiving favorites like pork, turkey, and “Jamon Dulce.” These dishes will be available for purchase, whole or sliced.

El Unico de Elena {4211 Park Avenue}
The Union City staple will open 6AM-2PM for takeout only {they have not re-opened for indoor dining yet}, and they will offer traditional Cuban dishes like “Lechón Asado” and “Boliche Estofado.”
La Churreria {3300 Bergenline Avenue}
La Churreria will open 6AM-7PM for dine-in and takeout. They will offer their traditional Cuban dishes, in addition to sliced pork and turkey for a special Cuban Thanksgiving meal.
La Esquina Ambiteña {4300 Bergenline Avenue}
This authentic Ecuadorian restaurant will open 6AM-7PM for indoor dining and takeout and will feature their usual menu.
Trattoria Napoli {4525 Broadway}
The traditional Italian spot will open 11AM-10PM for indoor/outdoor dining + takeout and will feature their usual menu options.
Two Crepes {4301 Park Avenue}
Union City’s delicious creperie will open from 10AM-3PM. Their Jersey City location will also open during those hours.
Hudson Sushi {4525 Broadway}
Hudson Sushi will open 12PM-10PM and will feature their usual menu options, as well as outdoor seating + takeout.
Weehawken
Marcus at NoHu Rooftop {550 Avenue at Port Imperial}
The elegant rooftop restaurant/bar with unrivaled views of the Manhattan skyline will offer a prefixed, 3-course menu for $75 per person. They will open from 12PM-9PM. Reservations need to be made by phone.
Molos {1 County Road 682}
The authentic Greek restaurant is offering a 4-course meal for $55 per person. They will open from 12PM-10PM.
The Highwood {500 Avenue at Port Imperial}
The Highwood is offering a prefixed, 3-course menu for $75 per person. The time slots are 12PM, 1PM, 3PM, and 4PM. Reservations need to be made by phone.
West New York
El Vesubio {442 62nd Street}
This Cuban favorite will open under their normal business hours 7AM-7PM for indoor dining and takeout. They will offer their usual Cuban dishes, as well as traditional Cuban Thanksgiving options like “Puerco Asado.”.
Las Palmas {6153 Bergenline Avenue}
A popular Cuban staple in town, Las Palmas will open under normal hours 7AM-2AM for dine-in or takeout and will offer their traditional dishes, as well as sliced turkey and pork.
La Pupusa Loca {5910 Bergenline Avenue}
The authentic Salvadoran restaurant will be open for dine-in or takeout and will operate under normal business hours 10AM-11PM. They will offer two Thanksgiving dishes: ”Gallina Rellena” and “Pavo Rellena” which is chicken and turkey, stuffed with potatoes and veggies.

Noches de Colombia {5709 Bergenline Avenue}
The Colombian favorite will operate under normal business hours 7AM-10PM and will offer their usual menu. A rep for Noches de Colombia says their other locations will operate under the same hours and menu.
Pollo Supremo {6114 Bergenline Avenue}
Pollo Supremo will operate under normal business hours 11AM-9PM and will offer dine-in and takeout, along with their catering menu. A rep for Pollo Supremo says their other locations will operate under the same hours and menu.
Sabor a Mexico {5101 Bergenline Ave}
The authentic Mexican spot will operate under normal business hours 8AM-10PM for indoor + outdoor dining, and takeout.
Son Cubano {40-4 Riverwalk Place}
The Cuban restaurant will open 12PM-8PM and is offering a 3-course Prix Fixe menu. The prices are $59 for adults and $29 for children.
