“Fond memories of palate-altering meals and a deep admiration for the soul of real barbeque have led Hugh on a personal quest for slow-smoked perfection. Many years and copious piles of wood later Mighty Quinnʼs New York barbeque represents Hugh’s craft and his desire to make people happy eating slow-smoked goodness,” the site states.

Although Mighty Quinn’s is already open, the spot is having a grand opening event on Friday, August 5th to celebrate the brand’s 3rd New Jersey location. Free mac and cheese will be served for in-store orders only.

Mighty Quinn’s is all about a good smokey dish. Patrons can pick their meats and watch as everything is hand carved per order behind the counter. With the addition of the Mile Square location, the eatery now has seven New York locations as well as two New Jersey ones — the other in Clifton.

The meats are cooked with minimal spice, as the smokiness from the grill does most of the work but according to reviews. Patrons can expect flavorful dishes from this BBQ spot.

Alongside the pork ribs and brisket, diners will find the Brontosaurus rib, pulled pork, and chicken. Mighty Quinn’s has everything true BBQ aficionados will appreciate.

The two- and three-meat platters are great for sharing with two or three people.

Most of the dishes are gluten-free, including the burnt ends sandwich, chicken wings, and pulled pork sandwich.

For something lighter, the rice bowl might do the trick.

The side options include classic Southern-cooking fare like baked beans, corn fritters, mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, broccoli salad, Brussel sprouts, fries, coleslaw, and cornbread.
