About Main Street Pops

Main Street Pops’ mission is to “make local social” again. They produce hyper-local pop-up events in unexpected spaces designed to bring people together, forging community connection through the arts.

The aim is to provide a public venue in Hoboken for high-quality makers and creators to sell their handmade goods as well as a place for local residents to get outside, shop, and engage with one another once again. For everyone missing human interaction, this market provides a safe outdoor space to gather in a creative setting, and the up-and-coming Northwest area of Hoboken is a perfect spot.

“We really wanted to create a public showcase for all of the talented makers and creators in our area”, said Zabrina Stoffel, Co-Founder of Main Street Pops. “The Arts allow people to share their talents but also their stories, perspectives, and history. Our hope is that people will come together and start conversations with each other”.

“Consumers are craving unique and original handmade products that are made responsibly and locally, and all of these small entrepreneurial businesses are looking for ways to sell their wares and connect with their local community. Everyone wants to show support for small businesses and shop local now more than ever, so it is a win-win for all”, added her partner and Co-Founder, Tracy Gavant.

The Artisan Market has also attracted sponsors that share Main Street Pops’ core values and want to invest in and connect with this community. The Market is presented by Rockefeller Group, a leading property owner with a focus on delivering exceptional quality in the built environment and the creation of long-term economic and civic value.

The market is also sponsored locally by the Hoboken Sailing Club and Hoboken Dental Associates.
Main Street Pops plans to add music and other performances as well in the future, creating a monthly
community happening.

What To Expect

The market will showcase handmade items such as art, photography, jewelry, fashion, home and lifestyle accessories, artisanal food, pet products, and much more, featuring a variety of vendors with new offerings each month. “It was also very important to Main Street Pops’ mission that we create an atmosphere of inclusiveness and community, so we worked hard to curate a revolving offering of artisans that represent diverse cultures and perspectives”, said Shan Gettens, their third partner, and Co-Founder.

Main Street Pops will feature a handful of regular “VIP Vendors” that will be at every market, and the rest will change monthly to offer a new shopping experience each time. VIP Vendors include locals like Dune + Salt and Calliope Sisters, handcrafted wooden boards from The Rose Hammer of Bernardsville, artist Dillon Dunning and photographer Joe Epstein, pet goodies from Hoboken Jengo and Hudson Houndstooth, and luminaries by Uncorked Candle Co and Chaconcia Candles.

Kicking off on Sunday, March 21, the market will run from 11-4 on the third Sunday of each month and they will
once again offer their popular Holiday Gift Market during the first three Sundays in December. The Artisan Market will be under the 14th street viaduct rain or shine.
