Sundays and cozy vibes go together like coffee and doughnuts and Made of Leaves, an underground flower shop in Jersey City Heights, blends all of those elements for its monthly Cozy Sunday event. The Cozy Sunday series kicked off in January 2024 and will feature live music and local vendors each month at the studio, located at 195 New York Avenue. This is a donation-based event and everyone is welcome to chill and enjoy the music in the charming floral studio. Cozy Sunday Series Details

The Cozy Sunday Series is a monthly, donation-based live music event at Made of Leaves in Jersey City Heights. The boho-chic floral studio at 195 New York Avenue is decked out with plush couches, floor cushions, and rugs. We attended the January Cozy Sunday event and as soon as we stepped into the studio, it felt like stepping into our grooviest friend’s living room.

“The goal is to create a warm and inviting ambiance to discover new music, meet cool people, and enjoy doughnuts from Do Good Donuts + coffee by Cozz Coffee,” Made of Leaves founder Meghan Kramer, told The Hoboken Girl.

Each Cozy Sunday event runs from 1PM-4PM and features local vendors and musicians. Music starts at 2PM but everyone is welcome to arrive early to grab a coffee from Cozz Coffee + a donut from Do Good Donuts (yes, please). After the music ends at 3PM, stick around to chat and keep the chill vibes going for another hour. Tickets are available online for the pay-what-you-wish event.

“We want this event to be inclusive and affordable. We have made this ticket donation-based to support live music,” Meghan said.

The studio has plenty of seating, but feel free to bring a blanket. It’s a welcoming, friendly event + a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the music.

We aim to create a listening space for each artist to play for an intimate and calm audience. Once the music starts you’ll find your cozy seat, listen to some great original tunes, and vibe out to the ambiance,” Meghan said.

Widely Grown, an Americana group led by Jersey City resident James Calleo, performed during the January event. Shayla Manee + Liquigetic performed their first ambient electronic album during the Cozy Sunday event on February 25th.
