Say it isn’t so! Las Olas {located at 14th and Washington} is closing in Hoboken. The Asian-Latin fusion restaurant in uptown Hoboken shared that they will be closed as of Saturday, February 3rd 2018 for good.

In a quick note to their followers on Instagram, the restaurant/bar wrote:

Dear customers

Tsujita

Las Olas will be closing their doors on Sat Feb 3rd. We appreciate everyone’s support over the past 7 years. Pls. Stop by to say farewell. We will miss everyone.

Thank you!

If you’ve been to Las Olas, you know of its adorable backyard garden area which is perfect in the summer months — and  $2 Taco Tuesdays {hello, pork tacos, where have you BEEN all our lives}and sangria pitchers, all mixed with its Asian menu fare.

Hi pork tacos, we’ll misssss you.

We’ll especially miss the Aloha Roll {grilled pineapple, tuna, spicy salmon, sweet potato flakes, tobiko, and sweet/spicy sauce}, so if you have time to stop by before February 3rd, DO IT.

They also have chocolate fried ice cream which you can see more from a past visit here.

Besides this unfortunate news, the uptown Hoboken scene had seemed to be on the rise lately, with SoulCycle, West Elm, Gravity Vault, and other new spots opening — but the Hoboken landscape appears to be changing {with many debating the pros and cons of this} with some chain stores and other bigger businesses coming in.

We’ll keep you posted on what happens with this space, but we can only hope it’s something local AND delicious.

Have you been to Las Olas? What did you think?
