Foodie lovers — it’s the most wonderful time of the year. And by that, of course, we mean Hudson Restaurant Week {which is happening July 23rd through August 3rd, 2018}. With nearly 50 restaurants participating and so many unique items to choose from, this year is definitely one you won’t want to miss. Read on to learn more about Hudson Restaurant Week and see some of our favorite things about it:
International Delights
One of the coolest {and yummiest} parts of Hudson Restaurant Week this year is all of the different international flavors that are available. Below are some of our favorite spots to enjoy an international bite for either lunch or dinner {or both}, for unbeatable prices:
Ramen: Ani Ramen {218 Newark Avenue, Jersey City}
Whether you’re a ramen connoisseur or a first-timer, HRW is the perfect time to enjoy some at a super popular spot. During restaurant week, Ani Ramen’s special menu {at only $20 per person for lunch and dinner} includes your choice of one starter {choices include pork buns, chicken wings, kimchi, + more}, and one ramen bowl {choose from spicy miso, vegan, shoyu, + more}. Morroccan-French: Barbès {1300 Park Avenue, Hoboken}
Barbès, fairly new to Hoboken, is also new to HRW. For $35 per person, you can enjoy one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert for dinner. Choices range from hummus, mussels, salmon, traditional Moroccan couscous, and more. Click here for more info on Barbès during HRW.
Old-School Italian: Leo’s {200 Grand Street, Hoboken} + Laico’s {67 Terhune Avenue, Jersey City}
If you’re craving old-school Italian fare during restaurant week — you’re in luck. Both Leo’s in Hoboken and Laico’s in Jersey City will feature set dinner menus at special prices where you can enjoy some traditional {plus some unique} foods. Cuban: Coco Havana {32 Newark Street, Hoboken} + Hard Grove {286 1st Street, Jersey City}
Enjoy authentic Cuban food in both Hoboken and Jersey City with two special menus at Coco Havana and Hard Grove. At Coco Havana, diners get their choice of appetizer, entree + one side, and dessert for $40 per person during dinner {lunch is $13 per person with your choice of sandwich and beer}. For either lunch or dinner, you can enjoy Molos restaurant week menu that features traditional Greek fare such as Greek salad, wild salmon, and seafood + orzo. The views won’t dissapoint, either.
Asian Fusion: Talde {8 Erie Street, Jersey City} Piggyback Bar {200 Hudson Street}
Talde’s dinner menu {$30 per person} includes one appetizer {your choice of butter poached lobster bao or watermelon carpacio}, one entree {tandoori chicken or pork chow fun}, and one dessert {spring roll flan or mango pie}. Piggyback Bar’s extensive menu features your choice of appetizer, main course, and dessert, with 4+ delicious options for each.
American Classics: Birch {92 River Street, Hoboken}
After enjoying foods from all around the world, you might want a little taste of home. For an unbeatable $25 per person, Birch is serving up true American classics — your choice of any of their burgers plus any of their {insane} milkshakes to finish.
Indian: Amanda’s {908 Washington Street, Hoboken}
For a classy dining experience, Amanda’s is the place to go. With a different variety of entrees {from carrot ravioli, to monkfish korma}, there is something to satisfy all taste buds at this classic Hoboken staple.
