Baby Fair at Jersey City Medical Center

Saturday — September 13th at 11AM-3PM
JCMC’s annual Baby Fair will provide access to its team of specialists, vendors, and educational demonstrations to parents-to-be, and is a must-attend event for expectant parents, new mothers, seasoned caregivers, and families to tour the Lord Abbett Maternity Wing, explore innovative products, learn essential information, and connect with local organizations.
Handmade Market, JC Friday Edition
Grove Street PATH Plaza Downtown Jersey City

As part of Art House Productions’ citywide JC Fridays celebration, the Handmade Market is taking over the Grove Street PATH Plaza. The lively open-air marketplace will include 30+ talented local artists + makers selling everything from handcrafted jewelry + ceramics to original artwork + unique home goods, as well as live music. The event is free to attend.

Family Promise of Hudson County | Jersey City
Promise addresses homelessness by using the resources of volunteer congregations in Hoboken + Jersey City by providing space in their buildings to serve as temporary homes for homeless families. Each Family Promise affiliate also has a day center, where families can take showers, receive case management, and look for housing and jobs. Family Promise relies on volunteers to give their time, making meals, sharing hospitality, spending the night, playing with children, and lending their passion and expertise to help families get back on their feet. The Hoboken Shelter | 300 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken
The Hoboken Shelter hosts 50 guests nightly + serves more than 1,000 meals throughout the week. As a full-service community partner, The Hoboken Shelter is a necessary resource within the neighborhood. The shelter is always in need of donations + support to help keep its doors open and welcoming to its guests. Learn more here.
Wise Animal Rescue | New Jersey
Since March of 2015 Wise Animal Rescue (W.A.R.) has been saving the lives of precious animals in need. It is a non-profit and is completely foster-based, meaning all dogs are placed in loving foster homes instead of in a shelter. It is W.A.R.’s mission to help dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. The organization takes in sick dogs, old dogs, giant dogs, super tiny dogs, and even the occasional cat. Learn more here.
