A dog-friendly yappy hour is happening in Hoboken on Friday, May 1st, taking place at the Ale House in Hoboken. It’s a locally-run event by Doggie Road Trippin and Groomington Eats who are hosting a “Yappy Hour” at the Ale House in Hoboken to benefit The Rainbow Bridge Project, a planned memorial honoring pets who have passed.
The Rainbow Bridge Project is a community-led effort to create a permanent, ADA-accessible memorial space in Hoboken where residents can remember and celebrate their pets. The initiative is currently in the planning and fundraising phase, with proceeds from events like this helping move it forward.
Friday’s event is dog-friendly, so bring your dogs along (as long as they’re friendly and okay with crowded spaces!).
You can expect:
- Fresh-made treats and “pawgaritas” for dogs from Groomington Eats
- Food for humans from Jacqpot Co.
- A pop-up from The Local Thread featuring Hoboken-themed dog apparel
- Drink specials and giveaways for both pets and their owners
Admission is $10 at the door, which includes a donation to the Rainbow Bridge Project, a dog accessory giveaway, and access to drink specials.
Dogs are welcome (but per Ale House must be leashed, well-behaved, and up to date on vaccinations). Attendees are also asked to clean up after their pets!
