Earth Day Movie Night at Community Church of Hoboken

April 18, @ 6:00 pm-9:00 pm

Free

Join Fund for a Better Waterfront and Resilience Adventures as we celebrate Earth Day with the free screening of two remarkable environmental films, A Living River and Chasing Coral, at the Community Church of Hoboken, 600 Garden Street.

A Living River is a short film by award-winning National Geographic filmmaker Jon Bowermaster that chronicles how the Hudson River – after suffering years of overfishing and pollution – is once again teeming with life.

Chasing Coral follows a group of photographers and scientists on a “visually staggering and suspenseful” global trek to document how climate change is causing the rapid collapse of coral reefs around the world.

We’ll follow each film with an engaging Q & A led by Hoboken’s own local environmental changemakers Noelle Thurlow of Resilience Adventures and Lisa McIntyre from SeaSmart. Earth Day-themed non-alcoholic beverages, as well as popcorn and other refreshments, will be served.
