• Inside EC Beauty Studio’s New Hoboken Space {+ Their New Beauty Treatments}

    Self-care is a big deal in Hoboken — especially when it comes to skin. Our environment is filled with toxins, pollution, and it can leave you feeling dried out and your skin feeling dull. But if you didn’t know already, now you know: EC Beauty is one of our go-to esthetician and facial spots in Hoboken. This summer, Erica Cerpa and her amazing team moved around the block into a new location at 80 River Street, Suite 2A in Hoboken, and with a new location comes with some new perks. The beautiful, custom space has been designed to create a relaxing beauty haven for all of its clients, and so we’re sharing more about their new skin and beauty treatments as well as a peek at the GORG new spot:

    Whites and grays and golds are the theme of this sparkly clean, stunning new spot. The new office is located on the 2nd floor of 80 River with an entrance right between Cadillac Cantina and Texas Arizona {so you can grab a bite or a drink pre- or post-treatment [as long as you didn’t get a chemical peel, lolz]}.

    Along with its regular treatment offerings {which include but aren’t limited to microdermabrasion, chemical peels, oxygen facials, waxing, paraffin treatments, spray tanning, and more}, the EC Beauty Studio has added several new services and machines to the repertoire.

    Venus Freeze

    There’s always those areas on your body that no matter how hard you are working out, just won’t tighten up! Or have you noticed some extra saggage on your face, but want to avoid getting fillers? The Venus Freeze Plus delivers patented Multi-Polar Radio Frequency & Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields technologies to produce uniformed heat under the skin’s surface, drastically increasing collagen and elastin fibers. This creates dramatic and unparalleled results in firmer, smoother, younger-looking skin. It can be used on face or body and is safe for all skin types, no downtime. Multiple sessions are necessary to achieve maximum results.

    Vagacial

    This may be slightly NSFW but if you’re prone to breaking out down there and suffer from ingrowns, you’ll love this. Skin is cleansed, exfoliated, and ingrown hairs are extracted before using a moisturizing mask to keep skin soft and supple. You must be hair-free for this treatment. {30 minutes $175} PS: They also have one for your booty!

    The Charcoal Facial

    This treatment starts with a Papaya Enzyme exfoliation to loosen dirt and impurities. Followed is the PCA detoxifying Charcoal mask = score. Charcoal naturally removes any impurities and excess oils in the skin, yet still leaves it feeling fresh and hydrated.

    Dermaplaning

    While this treatment isn’t new to EC Beauty and was offered at their old locale, it’s worth a mention. This method of exfoliation consists of using a 10-gauge scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells, revealing a smooth and bright complexion.
