The Details
Hey Yogurt first opened in Fort Lee on March 9th, 2023, serving up a menu of flavored drinkable yogurts and Japanese cheesecake. Situated on Fort Lee’s Main Street, Hey Yogurt has quickly garnered popularity in the area — and, naturally, the dessert shop’s next move was to open a Hoboken location.

Per Jersey Digs, Hoboken’s Historic Preservation Committee approved a signage application for 90 Hudson Street during their June 5th meeting. Formerly a medical office, this Hudson Street outpost is the site of the new Hey Yogurt location.
The “health conscious” eatery previously confirmed on its website that it was “coming soon to” the Mile Square City, and locals spotted a ‘Coming Soon’ sign in the storefront’s window in late 2023. A Reddit thread mentioned a few months ago that the yogurt chain would be opening in Hoboken in March of 2024.
A few days ago, Hey Yogurt announced the opening of its Hoboken location via Instagram, including a few grand opening specials:
“Come by our new Hoboken location for a special Grand Opening promotion!

As for the drinks + eats, Hey Yogurt’s menu really only has three options: drinkable yogurt, along with cheesecake or creampuffs. If you’re hesitant about drinkable yogurt, think of it as a healthy smoothie, with flavor options ranging from dessert-esque (Oreo and oatmeal) to fruity (mango, banana, strawberry, etc.). The Japanese-style double-fromage cheesecakes are spongy and sweet, with flavors like matcha, durian, and hojicha up for grabs.

Per its website, Hey Yogurt describes itself as the perfect balance: “sweet enough to put a smile on your face but not too overly sweet that it completely overwhelms the flavor.” This ethos informs the ingredients used at the shop, too, which Hey Yogurt says are “daily fresh ingredients to ensure that every product is made with the highest level of quality control.”
