Cookie, a 4-year-old Pitbull mix is looking for her forever home. Cookie has an affectionate spirit. Her foster parents describe her as “Uniquely beautiful with her perfectly balanced features, healthy frame, and perfect mid-dog size. She is also very much a ham with her silliness, funny poses, and goofy smiles. She’s the female Peter Pan who wants to always remain a puppy.” Cookie is said to loves cuddling and spending time with people. Read on to learn more about Cookie from his foster mom and how to adopt her.

Name: Cookie.

Breed: Pitbull Mix.

Weight: Aprx 55lb.

Age: Aprx 4 years.

Ideal Home: Active family, only pet, kids 10 and older.

Kids: 10 and older.

Dogs: No.

Cats: No.

Crate-Trained: Yes, she is great in the crate and will sleep overnight. However, she is not destructive so she could easily be weaned off the crate. We only crate while in foster so she has rules and boundaries until she finds her forever home.

House Trained: Yes, she is on a schedule.

Other training: She is fully trained by a professional trainer for leash walking and greeting people. Cookie gets very excited to see humans (she loves them all) so she’s been working on greeting people calmly at the door so she doesn’t jump.

Leash Manners: Walking time is for Cookie to get her exercise and do her business as per her trainer. She walks very well on the leash but will react to other dogs occasionally.

Personality: Energetic, lovable, funny, tons of sloppy kisses, lots of cuddles, and yes if you let her, she thinks she weighs 10 lbs, she will cuddle in your lap and love you for hours! She is a total mush! Would make a great running buddy for an active couple. Her current foster runs early mornings with her and she loves the exercise.

Why she was brought to the rescue: Cookie was rescued from an inner-city shelter and was found as a stray, and no one re-claimed.
