More than ever, this holiday season may seem hectic but fret not because there are plenty of amazing restaurants in Hoboken and Jersey City that are offering catering options this Christmas. Read on to discover which gems are prepared to take the cooking out of your hands.
Hoboken
Amanda’s Restaurant {908 Washington Street}

The family take-to-go meal at Amanda’s Restaurant serves 3 people and includes pork loin, sweet potato mash, peas with bacon and pearl onion, and black cherry-mustard sauce. Guests can also order potato leek soup, roasted butternut squash with dried cranberries and pecans, or a winter salad with roasted beets, farro, and goat cheese as an add-on. Bottles of wine and beer are available for takeout. Dishes will be served hot so Amanda’s recommends bringing reusable bags to safely bring the food home.

If you are looking for festive food and beautifully crafted gift boxes, Anthony David’s is where it’s at. The last day to order food is December 22 with pickups available on December 24 from 8AM – 12PM. Food and batched cocktails perfect for gifting or enjoying, available until December 31st. Their holiday catering menu features roasted butternut squash soup, pork chop parmesan, seared sea scallops, pumpkin tortellini, caramelized brussels sprouts, and house whipped potatoes, with a cherry crumb or pumpkin bread pudding for dessert.
Antique Bar & Bakery {122 Willow Avenue}

The catering menu is straightforward at Antique Bar & Bakery, offering ham or turkey. Both options are accompanied by green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes. If you opt for the fresh, 10-pound ham {serves 8 – 10} it comes with gravy, braised cabbage + apples, and cranberry sauce. The Belle of the Boards {Online}

Located in Hoboken, The Belle of the Boards delivers picture-perfect charcuterie boards, ideal for snacking on at a socially distanced gathering. The Friends + Familia board serves 4 – 6 people and includes 3 kinds of cheese + 3 types of meat with fruits and crackers. The Brunch Board serves 10+ people and includes a baker’s dozen of bagels and the choice of 3 spreads with a variety of donuts, fruit, veggies, croissants, and breakfast bars. Custom boards are also available that can be created based on your personal preferences and needs.

Il Tavolo Di Palmisano {700 Clinton Street}

The Half Trays at Il Tavolo serve 6-8 people and can be ordered online or by calling 201-345-5980. Appetizer options include stuffed long hot peppers, burrata with arugula and garden tomato salad, Grandma’s Meatballs, garlic shrimp, and more. The entrees available for ordering are eggplant casserole, breaded chicken cutlets, boneless short ribs, chicken or shrimp tavolo, and fresh salmon. Pasta and additional sides are also on the menu.
The Brass Rail {135 Washington Street}

You can grab a feast that’s ready to “just heat and eat” from The Brass Rail. The first course is a meat + cheese charcuterie board while the second-course options include roasted chestnut soup or roasted pear and goat cheese salad. The main course allows for the choice of herb-roasted chicken, red wine braised short ribs, honey baked ham, or baked parmesan crusted salmon. If you think you will still have room, sides and sweets are on the menu as well. Then menu at Vito’s Deli spans a variety of dishes including chicken tenders, caesar salad, classic macaroni salad, grilled portobello mushrooms over greens, homemade mini crab cakes, and even branching out to empanadas. Vito’s Deli offers four different kinds of pasta salad all portioned for a family-style dinner. For larger groups, Vito’s can put together a platter with meat + cheese, a platter with grilled or raw veggies, or a traditional mozzarella + tomato platter to bring New Jersey into your holiday gathering. Christmas catering at Battello comes in a package fit to feed 4 – 6 people and must be ordered by December 21st in order to guarantee a December 24th pickup between 12PM – 3PM. Dinner options include slow-braised beef short ribs and wilted baby spinach, with sides of orange-glazed root vegetables, roasted side of salmon, mushroom and ricotta lasagna, rosemary, and smoked sea salt marble potatoes, or Italian Wedding soup. Your choice of Battello Chardonnay or Battello Cabernet Sauvignon is also available to order for pickup.
Hamilton Pork {708 Jersey Avenue}

The catering menu at Hamilton Pork offers the choice of 3 types of meat {out of 12} and 3 sides. The challenge here might be deciding on which 3 exactly since there is not a disappointing option at Hamilton Pork. The meats include brisket, pork ribs, pulled chicken, Kung Pow wings, jalapeno cheddar sausage, and more. The sides are classic barbecue staples like potato salad, mac-n-cheese, and coleslaw with a twist on items like Mexican street corn and sauteed baby kale.
